Nu Metalcore
Nu metalcore (or nu-core) is a fusion genre that combines elements of nu metal and metalcore. The genre often makes use of a combination of screamed and sung vocals, in addition to breakdowns, hip hop-influenced drum beats and electronic music elements. During the 1990s, many nu metal groups took influence from the hardcore scene, and metalcore bands including Integrity, Norma Jean and Bury Your Dead embraced elements of nu metal at varying points in their careers. In the 2000s, some deathcore bands like Suicide Silence, Emmure and Whitechapel took influence from nu metal, pioneering a nu deathcore style. This led to the first wave of nu metalcore in the 2010s. Nu Metal
Nu metal (sometimes stylized as nü-metal, with a metal umlaut) is a subgenre of that combines elements of heavy metal music with elements of other music genres such as hip hop music, hip hop, funk, industrial music, industrial, and grunge. Nu metal rarely features guitar solos or other displays of musical technique and emphasizes rhythm with instrumentation that is heavily Syncopation, syncopated. Emmure
Emmure () is an American metalcore band formed in 2003. Originally based in New Fairfield, Connecticut, before moving to Queens, New York, the group has released eight albums, with their first public release being a 2006 EP entitled '' The Complete Guide to Needlework''. Victory Records has worked with the band throughout most of their career, starting with '' Goodbye to the Gallows'' (2007). Their second, third and fourth albums '' The Respect Issue'' (2008), ''Felony'' (2009) and '' Speaker of the Dead'' (2011) were all distributed through Victory as well. Veins () are blood vessels in the circulatory system of humans and most other animals that carry blood towards the heart. Most veins carry deoxygenated blood from the tissues back to the heart; exceptions are those of the pulmonary and fetal circulations which carry oxygenated blood to the heart. ''Forever'' is the third studio album by the American hardcore punk band Code Orange and its first on a major label, Roadrunner Records, following a stint on the indie label Deathwish Inc. It was released on January 13, 2017. Promotion and marketing Promotion for ''Forever'' began with the release of a music video directed by Max Moore for the title and opening track, "Forever", in October 2016. Presented entirely in black, white, and red like the album's cover art, the video for "Forever" rapidly cuts between scenes of Code Orange performing and other violent or abstract imagery, often with shaky camera footage. Code Orange (formerly known as Code Orange Kids) is an American metalcore band that formed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 2008, while the members of the band were still in high school. The band currently consists of vocalist Jami Morgan, guitarist and vocalist Reba Meyers, keyboardist/programmer/guitarist/vocalist/visual artist Eric "Shade" Balderose, bassist Joe Goldman, guitarist Dominic Landolina, and drummer Max Portnoy. Issues was an American metalcore band based in Atlanta, Georgia, founded in 2012. The band's final lineup consisted of guitarist and vocalist AJ Rebollo, bassist and vocalist Skyler Acord, and drummer Josh Manuel. They were known for their combination of metalcore, nu metal, pop and contemporary R&B. Following original member Michael Bohn and Tyler Carter's departure from Woe, Is Me, the duo formed Issues with keyboardist Ben Ferris, bassist Cory Ferris, guitarist AJ Rebollo, and drummer Case Snedecor, subsequently signing to Rise Records. The Ferris brothers departed from the group prior to the release of the ''Black Diamonds'' EP, in 2012. Cane Hill is an American heavy metal band formed in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 2011. The band consists of vocalist Elijah Witt, guitarist James Barnett, bassist Ryan Henriquez, and drummer Devin Clark. Sworn In was an American metalcore band from Grayslake, Illinois. The band was formed in 2011 and split up in 2022. They were signed to Razor & Tie from May 2013 to the summer of 2016, after which they were signed to Fearless Records. History Prior to Sworn In, vocalist Tyler Dennen, drummer/songwriter Chris George, guitarist Eugene Kamlyuk, and bassist Mike Piontek played in a band called "Shift Into Focus". When the group disbanded, these four sought to start a new band known as ''Buried by the Ocean''. Buried by the Ocean began playing local shows in high school before the band later changed their name to Sworn In. Sworn In then played their first show under the new name in March 2011.
