Mayor Of Tianjin
The mayor of Tianjin, officially the Mayor of the Tianjin Municipal People's Government, is the head of Tianjin Municipality and leader of the Tianjin Municipal People's Government. The mayor is elected by the Tianjin Municipal People's Congress, and responsible to it and its Standing Committee. The mayor is a provincial level official and is responsible for the overall decision-making of the municipal government. The mayor is assisted by an executive vice mayor as well as several vice mayors. The mayor generally serves as the deputy secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and as a member of the CCP Central Committee. The mayor the second-highest ranking official in the city after the secretary of the CCP Tianjin Committee. The current mayor is Zhang Gong, who took office on 30 December 2021. Zhang Zizhong
Zhang Zizhong ( zh, t=張自忠, s=张自忠, first = t, p=Zhāng Zìzhōng, w=Chang Tzu-chung; August 11, 1891 – May 16, 1940) was a general of the Chinese National Revolutionary Army (NRA) during the Second Sino-Japanese War. Born in Linqing, Shandong, he was the highest- ranked officer and the only Army group commander of the NRA to die in the war. He was killed-in-action during the Battle of Yichang after refusing to retreat from the front lines. He showed great valor in the field and was regarded as one of the most valiant and respectable Chinese generals by the Imperial Japanese Army during the Second Sino-Japanese War. Because he was lieutenant general with the effective rank of full general at the time of his death, and was posthumously promoted to full general, he was also one of the highest-ranked Allied officers killed in action in World War II. Shang Zhen ( zh, w=Shang Chen, c=商震; 21 September 1888 – 15 May 1978) was a general of the National Revolutionary Army during the Warlord Era, Second Sino-Japanese War and World War II. He was an early 20th century field general who won his share of wars and successful retreats. He then represented China's military in Washington and other international settings during World War II and post war Japan. Early life Shang Zhen was born on 21 September 1888, in Baoding, Hebei province. He received his military education at the Baoding Officer Academy and joined the Tongmenghui in 1905 (the predecessor of the Kuomintang). The Shang dynasty (), also known as the Yin dynasty (), was a Chinese royal dynasty that ruled in the Yellow River valley during the second millennium BC, traditionally succeeding the Xia dynasty and followed by the Western Zhou dynasty.
