Maudlin Of The Well
Maudlin of the Well (stylized as maudlin of the Well; commonly abbreviated as motW) is an avant-garde metal band from Boston, Massachusetts. Their music contains elements from many different genres including progressive rock, psychedelic rock, post rock, art rock, progressive metal, doom metal, death metal, and gothic metal, as well as chamber music, ambient music and electronic music. After a five-year hiatus, the band re-united to record their latest album, '' Part the Second'', which was funded by fan donations and released online May 14, 2009 for free. Biography Maudlin of the Well released three full-length albums before disbanding in 2003. These albums included 1999's ''My Fruit PsychoBells...A Seed Combustible'' and 2001's ''Bath'' and ''Leaving Your Body Map'', these last two made as complementary companion albums. ''Leaving Your Body Map'' is the second studio album recorded by the American avant-garde metal band maudlin of the Well. It was released on August 31, 2001 by Dark Symphonies, alongside its companion album ''Bath''. Background ''Leaving Your Body Map'' and its sister album are a combination of older demo material written as far back as 1997 in rearranged and re-orchestrated forms and new material, all recorded simultaneously to achieve consistency; to this end, the series of instrumental interludes, all composed purportedly in lucid dreams, are sequenced in order of appearance across both albums. Each album features cover art befitting the title of its counterpart, with ''Bath'' featuring a map to a bath tub and window in yellow, and ''Leaving Your Body Map'' featuring the tub and window in red. ''Bath'' is the second studio album recorded by the American avant-garde metal band Maudlin of the Well. It was released on August 31, 2001, by Dark Symphonies, alongside its companion album ''Leaving Your Body Map''. It was the last album released before their breakup. Background ''Bath'' and ''Leaving Your Body Map'', alongside introducing brand new songs, rearranges and re-orchestrates demo material first written in 1997. All songs on both albums were recorded simultaneously, in order to achieve consistency; to this end, the opening of "Girl with a Watering Can" re-orchestrates the first melody of "The Blue Ghost / Shedding Qliphoth", and the series of instrumental interludes sequenced in order of appearance across both albums. Revolving Door
A revolving door typically consists of three or four doors that hang on a central shaft and rotate around a vertical axis within a cylindrical enclosure. To use a revolving door, a person enters the enclosure between two of the doors and then moves continuously to the desired exit while keeping pace with the doors.
