Jadarite
Jadarite is a white, earthy monoclinic silicate mineral, sodium lithium boron silicate hydroxide ( Li Na Si B3 O7( OH) or Na2OLi2O(SiO2)2(B2O3)3H2O). Discovery and classification Jadarite was discovered in December 2004, in drill core from the Jadar Valley ( sr, Јадар, Jadar, pronounced /jadaɾ/) in Serbia, from which it is named. The find was located southwest of the Cer mountain. Findings were originally located in the villages of Jarebice and Slatina and later in Draginac. Exploration geologists from Rio Tinto Exploration discovered the mineral as small rounded nodules in drill core, and were unable to match it with previously known minerals. Jadarite was confirmed as a new mineral after scientists at the Natural History Museum in London and the National Research Council of Canada conducted tests on it.'Krypton ...

Svilajnac
Svilajnac ( sr-cyr, Свилајнац, ) is a town and municipality located in the Pomoravlje District of central Serbia. The population of the town is 9,131 inhabitants, while the municipality has 23,391 inhabitants. It is located south-east of Belgrade, on the banks of the river Resava, and bordering the river Morava. Its name stems from the word for silk in Serbian. History Svilajnac was first mentioned in Ottoman records in 1467 as a village with a hundred households. The village, and later town, gained prominence through its silk production, from which it derives its name (''svila'', "silk"). Located in central Serbia, it flourished as a trading center, where silk, wool and livestock were traded. Svilajnac is the birthplace of the First Serbian Uprising revolutionary Stevan Sinđelić. A statue in his honor was raised in the central square of Svilajnac, in the pedestrian zone of ''Kriva čaršija''. It was erected in 1991 after the design of sculptor Mihailo Paunovi ...

Lithium Carbonate
Lithium carbonate is an inorganic compound, the lithium salt of carbonate with the formula . This white salt is widely used in the processing of metal oxides. It is listed on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines because it can be used as a treatment for mood disorders such as bipolar disorder. Uses Lithium carbonate is an important industrial chemical. Its main use is as a precursor for compounds used in lithium-ion batteries. Glasses derived from lithium carbonate are useful in ovenware. Lithium carbonate is a common ingredient in both low-fire and high-fire ceramic glaze. It forms low-melting fluxes with silica and other materials. Its alkaline properties are conducive to changing the state of metal oxide colorants in glaze, particularly red iron oxide (). Cement sets more rapidly when prepared with lithium carbonate, and is useful for tile adhesives. When added to aluminium trifluoride, it forms LiF which gives a superior electrolyte for the processi ...

Mineral Resource Estimation
Mineral resource estimation is used to determine and define the ore tonnage and grade of a geological deposit, from the developed block model. There are different estimation methods used for different scenarios dependent upon the ore boundaries, geological deposit geometry, grade variability and the amount of time and money available. A typical resource estimation involves the construction of a geological and resource model with data from various sources. Depending on the nature of the information and whether the data is hard copy or computerized, the principal steps of computer resource estimation are: # Creation, standardization and validation of the database. # Section plotting and interactive geological modeling. # Geostatistical analysis. # Block modeling and block estimation. Geological modelling An orebody model serves as the geological basis of all resource estimation, an orebody modeling project starts with a critical review of existing drill hole and surface or undergrou ...

Lithium Oxide
Lithium oxide ( O) or lithia is an inorganic chemical compound. It is a white solid. Although not specifically important, many materials are assessed on the basis of their Li2O content. For example, the Li2O content of the principal lithium mineral spodumene (LiAlSi2O6) is 8.03%. Production Lithium oxide is produced by thermal decomposition of lithium peroxide at 300–400 °C.Wietelmann, Ulrich and Bauer, Richard J. (2005) "Lithium and Lithium Compounds" in ''Ullmann's Encyclopedia of Industrial Chemistry'', Wiley-VCH: Weinheim. . Lithium oxide forms along with small amounts of lithium peroxide when lithium metal is burned in the air at and combines with oxygen at temperatures above 100 °C: :4Li + → 2. Pure can be produced by the thermal decomposition of lithium peroxide, , at 450 °C :2 → 2 + Structure Solid lithium oxide adopts an antifluorite structure with four-coordinated Li+ centers and eight-coordinated oxides. The ground state gas phase molec ...
