Social influence comprises the ways in which individuals adjust their behavior to meet the demands of a social environment. It takes many forms and can be seen in conformity, socialization, peer pressure, obedience, leadership, persuasion, sales, and marketing. Typically social influence results from a specific action, command, or request, but people also alter their attitudes and behaviors in response to what they perceive others might do or think. Influence (band)
Influence was a 1960s Canadian band best known for their mini rock-opera, ''Mad Birds of Prey''. Roots The band was the brainchild of guitarist Louis Campbell McKelvey (born 31 October 1943 in Killorgin, County Kerry, Ireland). McKelvey, who had spent the early ‘60s playing in west London band, Jeff Curtis & The Flames and recorded with South African bands The Upsetters and The A-Cads between September 1965 and April 1966. Having arrived in Montreal around October 1966, he initially found work with the French-speaking group, Les Sinners, playing a one-off date with them at Paul Sauve Arena before briefly hooking up with Our Generation in December for a lone single. Persuasion or persuasion arts is an umbrella term for influence. Persuasion can influence a person's beliefs, attitudes, intentions, motivations, or behaviours. The Influence (Monhegan, Maine)
The Influence is a historic house on Main Street in Monhegan, Maine. Built in 1826, it is one of the largest and oldest houses in the small island community, built by the son of the last person to own the entire island. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. Description and history Monhegan is a small island community off the coast of Maine, consisting of Monhegan Island, and a number of nearby smaller islands. Its harbor is situated in the channel between Monhegan and Manana Islands. ''Lady Wood'' is the second studio album by Swedish singer and songwriter Tove Lo. It was released on 28 October 2016 by Island Records. ''Lady Wood'' is considered the first half of a two-piece concept album that describe "highs, lows and ultimate demise of a relationship." Its chapters "Fairy Dust" and "Fire Fade" precede the chapters "Light Beams" and "Pitch Black" from her following album '' Blue Lips'' (2017). It was recorded between July 2015 and May 2016, which Lo commented was a quicker turnaround than the "whole life" she was afforded when creating her previous record ''Queen of the Clouds'' (2014). Little Caesar is an American hard rock band. They are remembered for their version of the soul music song "Chain of Fools", a 1990 hit single from their self-titled debut album. History The band was founded late in the 1980s by vocalist Ron Young, who had previously worked as a nightclub bouncer. The group independently released an EP and were featured on the 1989 Metal Blade compilation ''Street Survivors'' with one song "Down to the Wire", which led to their signing with DGC Records, a subsidiary of Geffen Records, in 1989. John Kalodner did A&R work for the group, and Bob Rock produced their debut self-titled album, which was released in 1990 to positive reviews. ''Ardijah'' is a music group from Auckland, New Zealand that formed in 1979. History Ardijah formed in 1979 and spent the early part of the eighties playing the Auckland pub and club scene honing their skills as a covers band. They released their first single in 1986, " Give Me Your Number" which was followed in 1987 with " Your Love Is Blind". This was Ardijah's introduction into the music industry where in New Zealand, their popularity was well received. In 1987, Ardijah was able to record their debut self-titled album after winning the Rheineck Rock Award ($30,000 towards recording cost) which was released by WEA. From this album came the singles "That's the Way", "Give Me Time", "Time Makes a Wine" and "Jammin'". The style of the band's sound was funk rock/reggae, which was to change the music climate of the New Zealand music industry, launching the band's profile as one of New Zealand's first R&B acts.
