Here Technologies (stylised and trading as HERE and here) is an American-Dutch multinational group dealing with mapping, location data and related automotive services to individuals and companies. It is majority-owned by a consortium (an association, typically of several companies) of German automotive companies (namely Audi, BMW, the Mercedes-Benz Group) and American semiconductor company Intel whilst other companies also own minority stakes. Its roots date back to U.S.-based Navteq in 1985, which was acquired by Finland-based Nokia in 2007. Here is currently based in The Netherlands. Here captures location content such as road networks, buildings, parks and traffic patterns. "Here (In Your Arms)" is the lead single from Hellogoodbye's debut album, ''Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!'' (2006), released on August 8, 2006. The song peaked at number fourteen on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and was certified platinum in the United States. The song was released in the United Kingdom on April 13, 2007, peaking at number four on the UK Singles Chart. It also entered the top 10 in Ireland, the Netherlands, and Sweden. Music video The video is set at Camp Holadios, a fictional summer camp. While the band members are all staying there, Forrest becomes interested in a girl who is also at camp. The campers play with pogs. The video is also reminiscent of the film ''Wet Hot American Summer''. Philip Arthur Larkin (9 August 1922 – 2 December 1985) was an English poet, novelist, and librarian. "Here" is a 6-page comic strip by Richard McGuire (born 1957) published in '' Raw'' Volume 2 #1 in 1989. In 2010, McGuire announced a graphic novel version ''Here'' (expanded to 300 pages, full-color). It was published by Pantheon Books in December 2014. Overview The first panel of "Here" shows an unadorned corner of a room in a house. The 35 panels that follow all show the location in space depicted in the first panel at different points in time, ranging from the year 500,957,406,073 BCE to the year 2033 CE. The panels are not ordered chronologically, and most of the panels are subdivided into multiple panes to show different points in time within the same panel. Fyrd
A fyrd () was a type of early Anglo-Saxon army that was mobilised from freemen or paid men to defend their Shire's lords estate, or from selected representatives to join a royal expedition. Service in the fyrd was usually of short duration and participants were expected to provide their own arms and provisions. The composition of the fyrd evolved over the years, particularly as a reaction to raids and invasions by the Vikings. The system of defence and conscription was reorganised during the reign of Alfred the Great, who set up 33 fortified towns (or burhs) in his kingdom of Wessex. The amount of taxation required to maintain each town was laid down in a document known as the Burghal Hidage. Each lord had his individual holding of land assessed in hides. Béquignol Noir
Béquignol noir (also known as Red Chenin) is a red French wine grape variety that originated in Southwest France but is now more widely grown in the Mendoza wine region of Argentina where it is often used to add color to blends. The grape is often confused with several other red wine varieties such as Cabernet Franc, Durif, Fer and Prunelard with Béquignol noir sharing several synonyms with these grapes. However DNA profiling has shown Béquignol noir to be distinct from those grape varieties. ''Here'' is a 2011 American drama adventure film directed by Braden King who also co-wrote the movie with Dani Valent. The film stars Ben Foster and Lubna Azabal. Synopsis Will Shepard (Foster), a solitary young man who lives in the San Francisco bay area, travels to Armenia to undertake a mapping survey in the rural areas of the country to confirm ground features and coordinates with GPS satellite data. There he meets Gadarine Nazarian (Azabal), a spirited Armenian ex-pat and professional photographer, who has returned home to face family issues. She decides to accompany Will on his journey, acting as his interpreter, while taking photographs too. They fall in love as they wander the countryside. Their affair lasts several days, but he has to move on. Production The film was shot on location in Armenia. ''Slanted and Enchanted'' is the debut studio album by American indie rock band Pavement, released on April 20, 1992 by Matador Records. It is the only Pavement album to feature drummer Gary Young.
