Heka (; egy, ḥkꜣ(w); Coptic: ''hik''; also transliterated Hekau) was the deification of magic and medicine in ancient Egypt. The name is the Egyptian word for "magic". According to Egyptian literature (Coffin text, spell 261), Heka existed "before duality had yet come into being''.''" The term ''ḥk3'' was also used to refer to the practice of magical rituals. Name The name Heka is identical with the Egyptian word ''ḥk3w'' "magic". This hieroglyphic spelling includes the symbol for the word ''ka'' (''kꜣ''), the ancient Egyptian concept of the vital force. Meissa , designated Lambda Orionis (λ Orionis, abbreviated Lambda Ori, λ Ori) is a star in the constellation of Orion (constellation), Orion. It is a multiple star approximately away with a combined apparent magnitude of 3.33. The main components are an O8 giant star and a B-class main sequence star, separated by about 4″. Despite Meissa being more bolometric luminosity, luminous and only slightly further away than Rigel, it appears 3 apparent magnitude, magnitudes dimmer at visual wavelengths, with much of its radiation emitted in the ultraviolet due to its high temperature. Nomenclature ''Lambda Orionis'' is the star's Bayer designation. The traditional name ''Meissa'' derives from the Arabic (language), Arabic ''Al-Maisan'' which means 'The Shining One'.
