Ext (JavaScript Library)
Ext JS is a JavaScript application framework for building interactive cross-platform web applications using techniques such as Ajax, DHTML and DOM scripting. It can be used as a simple component framework (for example, to create dynamic grids on otherwise static pages) but also as a full framework for building single-page applications (SPAs). Originally built as an add-on library extension of YUI by Jack Slocum on April 15, 2007, Ext JS has had no dependencies on external libraries beginning with version 1.1. Nowadays, Ext JS can be used both as a single script (with all classes and components in one file) or by building the application with the Sencha Cmd. Extremaduran Language
Extremaduran ( ext, estremeñu, link=no , es, extremeño) is a group of vernacular Romance dialects, related to the Asturleonese language, spoken in Extremadura and adjoining areas in the province of Salamanca. It is difficult to establish the exact boundary between Extremaduran and the Spanish varieties spoken in most of Extremadura. Dialects The linguistic varieties of Extremadura are usually classified in three main branches: Northern or "High" (''artu estremeñu''), Central or "Middle" (), and Southern or "Low" (). The northern branch is usually considered to be the language proper, and is spoken in the north-west of the autonomous region of Extremadura, and the south-west of Salamanca, a province of the autonomous region of Castile and León. The central and southern branches are spoken in the rest of Extremadura, and are not different enough from standard Spanish to be considered anything but dialects of the language, since at least the 18th century. Ext Functor
In mathematics, the Ext functors are the derived functors of the Hom functor. Along with the Tor functor, Ext is one of the core concepts of homological algebra, in which ideas from algebraic topology are used to define invariants of algebraic structures. The cohomology of groups, Lie algebras, and associative algebras can all be defined in terms of Ext. The name comes from the fact that the first Ext group Ext1 classifies extensions of one module by another. In the special case of abelian groups, Ext was introduced by Reinhold Baer (1934). It was named by Samuel Eilenberg and Saunders MacLane (1942), and applied to topology (the universal coefficient theorem for cohomology). For modules over any ring, Ext was defined by Henri Cartan and Eilenberg in their 1956 book ''Homological Algebra''. Extended File System
The extended file system, or ext, was implemented in April 1992 as the first file system created specifically for the Linux kernel. It has metadata structure inspired by traditional Unix filesystem principles, and was designed by Rémy Card to overcome certain limitations of the MINIX file system. It was the first implementation that used the virtual file system (VFS), for which support was added in the Linux kernel in version 0.96c, and it could handle file systems up to 2 gigabytes (GB) in size. ext was the first in the series of extended file systems. In 1993, it was superseded by both ext2 and Xiafs, which competed for a time, but ext2 won because of its long-term viability: ext2 remedied issues with ext, such as the immutability of inodes and fragmentation. Exton Station (Pennsylvania)
Exton station is a train station in Exton, West Whiteland Township, Pennsylvania, in the western suburbs of Philadelphia. It is served by most Amtrak ''Keystone Service'' trains and one daily eastbound '' Pennsylvanian'' trip, as well as SEPTA's Paoli/Thorndale Line. This station is wheelchair-accessible with high-level platforms on both sides of the tracks. This is 27.7 track miles from Philadelphia's Suburban Station. In 2017, the average total SEPTA weekday boardings at this station was 627, and the average total weekday SEPTA alightings was 522. History In late 2013, SEPTA developed renderings of a proposed station improvement plan. The plan calls for near-full-length high-level boarding platforms on the inbound and outbound side of the tracks, a station building to be used as a waiting area, an extended exterior waiting canopy, as well as open-air shelters with glass windscreens. Exeter Airport , formerly ''Exeter International Airport'', is an international airport located at Clyst Honiton in East Devon, close to the city of Exeter and within the county of Devon, South West England. Exeter has a CAA Public Use Aerodrome Licence (Number P759) that allows flights for the public transport of passengers or for flying instruction. The airport offers both scheduled and holiday charter flights within the United Kingdom and Europe. In 2007, the airport handled over 1 million passengers per year for the first time, although passenger throughput subsequently declined, recovering to 931,000 passengers in 2018. In 2019, passenger numbers once again passed the 1 million mark, due in part to Ryanair operating several new flights to/from the airport. Exeter St Thomas Railway Station
Exeter St Thomas railway station is a suburban railway station in Exeter, England, serving the suburb of St Thomas and the riverside area. The station is elevated on a low viaduct with entrances on Cowick Street. It is down the line from and measured from the zero point at via Box Tunnel. The station is unstaffed with the former station building now used for a bar and nightclub. It is mainly served by local trains operated by Great Western Railway. It is the only station in Exeter which is listed (Grade II). History The station was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and opened on 30 May 1846 by the South Devon Railway. The company had joint use of the Bristol and Exeter Railway station at St Davids but St Thomas was its own station. Although built on a stone viaduct, the railway was nearer to the city centre and the quays on the Exeter Canal. Extremeroller
Extremeroller was a steel stand-up roller coaster at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. It was built by Arrow Dynamics and the first stand-up roller coaster in the United States. It was built in 1976 under the name Screamroller. In 1983, Arrow designed a stand-up train for the attraction, which was subsequently renamed Extremeroller (also known as EXT). However, the original sit-down trains were reinstalled in 1984, remaining in place until the attraction was removed in 1988 and replaced by Timber Wolf that opened in 1989. In 1990, Extremeroller was relocated to Formosa WonderWorld in Taipei, Taiwan, as "Spiral" which stood until the end of 2006 when it was removed. It is not known if it has been scrapped or is in storage. The original station, entrance and a few cement platforms from EXT still remain today (as commonly seen in the water and exit from station).
