The brant or brent goose (''Branta bernicla'') is a small goose of the genus ''Branta''. There are three subspecies, all of which winter along temperate-zone sea-coasts and breed on the high-Arctic tundra. The Brent oilfield was named after the species. Description The brant is a small goose with a short, stubby bill. It measures long, across the wings and weighs . The under-tail is pure white, and the tail black and very short (the shortest of any goose). Castlemaine Harbour
Castlemaine Harbour is a Ramsar site, Special Area of Conservation, Special Protection Area and national nature reserve of approximately located in County Kerry, Ireland. Features Castlemaine Harbour was legally protected as a national nature reserve by the Irish government in 1990. The area is also listed as a Special Area of Conservation and a Special Protection Area. In 1990, the site was also declared Ramsar site number 470. The Harbour is at the head of Dingle Bay, and is the estuary of two rivers. The reserve includes salt marshes, sandbanks, and mudflats which are protected from the sea by a large system of dunes.
