Scientific management is a theory of management that analyzes and synthesizes workflows. Its main objective is improving economic efficiency, especially labor productivity. Thomas J. Peters (born November 7, 1942), an American writer on business-management practices, became best-known for his 1982 book ''In Search of Excellence'' (co-authored with Robert H.
