Badaga Language
Badaga is a southern Dravidian language spoken by the Badaga people of the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu. The language is closely related to the Tamil and Kannada languages. Of all the tribal languages spoken in Nilgiris (Badaga, Toda language, Kota language (India)), Badaga is the most spoken language. Writing system Several attempts have been made at constructing an orthography based on English, Kannada and Tamil. The earliest printed book using Kannada script was a Christian work, "Anga Kartagibba Yesu Kristana Olleya Suddiya Pustaka" by Basel Mission Press of Mangaluru in 1890. Badaga can also be written in the Kannada script and Tamil script. Ari Behn
Ari Mikael Behn (; , or ; 30 September 1972 – 25 December 2019) was a Norwegian author, playwright, and visual artist. Known as Mikael Bjørshol until 1996, Behn achieved early literary success with his 1999 short story collection ''Trist som faen'' ("Sad as hell"), which sold about 100,000 copies. Following his 2002 marriage to Princess Märtha Louise, he wrote four novels, two short story collections, one play and a book about his wedding, and took part in other creative and artistic endeavours such as the design of a china set named "Peacock". In the 2000s and 2010s his public activity and art were met with mixed reactions in Norway, and Behn acknowledged that many people regarded him as a "fool". Ari Banias is an American poet whose work has been featured in ''Troubling the Line: Trans and Genderqueer Poetry and Poetics'', '' American Poetry Review'', ''Boston Review'', and ''POETRY.'' Early life and education Banias was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Chicago. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sarah Lawrence College and a Master of Fine Arts degree in poetry from Hunter College. Career He published his first book of poetry, ''Anybody,'' in 2016. ''Anybody'' was nominated for the PEN American Literary Award. Ari Babakhanov (born 1934) is an Uzbekistani musician who performs the long-necked lutes tanbur, qashqari rubab and dutar. Biography Babakhanov was born in Bukhara into a Jewish family which can look back on an outstanding dynasty of traditional musicians. It was founded by his grandfather Levi Babakhan (1873–1926), the legendary court vocalist of Alim Khan, the last emir of Bukhara. Levi Babakhan's son Moshe Babakhanov (1910–1983) was also a famous vocalist who accompanied himself on tanbur and doira. In contrary to his grandfather and father Ari Babakhanov became a pure instrumentalist. Ari Aster (born July 15, 1986) is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer. He is known for writing and directing the horror films ''Hereditary'' (2018) and '' Midsommar'' (2019). Early life Aster was born into a Jewish family in New York City on July 15, 1986, the son of a musician father and a poet mother. He has a younger brother. He recalled going to see his first movie, ''Dick Tracy'', when he was four years old. The film featured a scene where a character fired a tommy gun in front of a wall of fire. Aster reportedly jumped from his seat and "ran six New York City blocks" while his mother tried to catch him. Ari Ankorion ( he, ארי אנקוריון, born 2 October 1908 – 11 March 1986) was an Israeli politician and lawyer. Biography Ari Wolowitzky (later Ankorian) was born in Kalvarija in the Russian Empire. He attended a heder and a Hebrew science and technology school. He studied law at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas and was certified as a lawyer. While a student, he joined the Zionist Students Organisation in Kaunas. He was also a member of the Socialist Zionist Party and the League for a Workers Israel. Ari Anjala (born 31 May 1958) is a Finnish orienteering competitor, three times medalist in the relay at the World Orienteering Championships. Ari Angervo
Mauri Arijoutsi Angervo (born July 11, 1944 in Mikkeli, Finland) is a Finnish classical violinist and conductor. Education Angervo studied at the Sibelius Academy in Finland, but also in Stockholm and Saint Petersburg. He studied the violin under the guidance of Onni Suhonen, chamber music with Andras Mihaly, Mieczysław Horszowski ja György Ligeti, and orchestral conducting with Arvid Jansons and Jorma Panula. Career Angervo played in the Finnish National Opera Orchestra from 1965 to 1975, first as a member and then as concertmaster for seven years. Since his debut concert in 1970, Angervo has performed as a soloist and chamber musician all around Europe and New Zealand. Ari Ahonen
Ari Ahonen (born February 6, 1981) is a Finnish former professional ice hockey goaltender. He was drafted in the first round, 27th overall, by the New Jersey Devils in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. Ahonen is the only goaltender in SM-liiga history to have represented all three teams in the greater Helsinki area: HIFK, Jokerit and Blues. Playing career After playing three seasons in Finland's SM-liiga, representing JYP and HIFK, Ahonen joined the Devils' American Hockey League affiliate, the Albany River Rats. After five seasons with the River Rats, Ahonen returned to Finland in 2006 to represent Blues, but when he found himself serving as backup to Bernd Brückler, Ahonen signed with Jokerit when no less than three of their goaltenders were injured. Hebrew Language
Hebrew (; ; ) is a Northwest Semitic language of the Afroasiatic language family.
