Airdancer
A tube man, also known as a skydancer, air dancer, inflatable man and originally called the Tall Boy, is an inflatable stick figure comprising sections of fabric tubing attached to a fan. As the fan blows air through it, the tubing moves in a dynamic dancing or flailing motion. Tube men are typically used to advertise retail business premises to passing motorists. Peter Minshall, an artist from Trinidad and Tobago, came up with the concept, and it was developed by a team that included Israeli artist Doron Gazit and Arieh Dranger, for the 1996 Summer Olympics. Minshall originally called his invention the "Tall Boy". Gazit eventually patented the concept of an inflatable, dancing human-shaped balloon, and licensed the patent to various companies that manufacture and sell the devices. A stick figure, also known as a stickman, is a very simple drawing of a person or an animal, composed of a few lines, curves, and dots. On a stick figure, the head is most often represented by a circle, which can be either a solid color or sometimes embellished with details such as eyes, a mouth, or hair. The arms, legs, and torso are usually represented by straight lines. Details such as hands, feet, and a neck may be present or absent; simpler stick figures often display an ambiguous emotional expression or disproportionate limbs, however, most stick figures can be drawn with four or three fingers. Peter Minshall
Peter Minshall (born 16 July 1941) is a Trinidadian Carnival artist (described colloquially in Trinidad and Tobago as a "mas-man"). Early life and career beginnings Minshall was born in Georgetown, Guyana, but moved to Trinidad as a small child after his father took a job as a cartoonist. Growing up in the capital, Port of Spain, Minshall was exposed to Carnival from a young age. He made his first costume at the age of 13. He attended Queen's Royal College, then went on to study Theatre Design at the Central School of Art and Design in London. Peter Minshall designed Carnival costumes for various relatives and family friends, even before he left school. Doron Gazit ( he, דורון גזית ; born 1953) is an Israeli environmental artist, activist and industrial designer recognized for his large-scale outdoor environmental art installations. Gazit studied industrial design in Bezalel College in Jerusalem where he supported himself as a street balloon artist. Red Line Project Gazit is documenting ecological devastations at locations affected by climate change in his temporary art installation named, Red Line Project. Doron Gazit is quoted saying, "Red Line Project was created as a metaphor for the blood vein of Mother Nature, alerting observers to the urgent need to remedy and protect our endangered environment.
