Zero To Hero (TV Series)
''Zero to Hero'' (阴差阳错) was a MediaCorp TV Channel 8 comedy drama series which aired from 16 May 2005 to 10 June 2005. The series is unique as it portrays the traditional Chinese beliefs of the netherworld and afterlife (e.g. 18 levels of hell, incarnation) in a light-hearted way. Synopsis The burning of cash in the form of joss paper and other material items such as mobile phones in the form of cardboard were depicted in the series. It is a traditional Chinese belief that the deceased would receive those items burned for them in the netherworld. Xie Jizu is a police officer who often spends his free time gambling rather than caring for his family. He dies in a car accident and went to the netherworld, where he befriends some spirits and hear the sad tales of how they died. Zhengde, a general contractor, was brutally murdered but police were never able to crack the case. Jizu decides to make amends by helping Zhengde find his murderer. Edmund Chen
Edmund Chen () (born 4 February 1961) is a Singaporean former actor and artist. He began his career in 1987 and rose to become one of Singapore's most prominent and popular actors during the 1990s and early 2000s. Career Chen entered the entertainment industry after completing the SBC (predecessor of MediaCorp) 7th drama training course in 1987. He starred in several high-profile dramas such as sci-fi drama series ''Star Maiden'', ''Air Force'' and police thriller ''Patrol'', where he met and later married co-star Xiang Yun. Brandon Wong (; born 16 September 1971) is a Malaysian born Singaporean actor. He was born in Malaysia. He is able to speak Mandarin, English, Malay, Cantonese. The Star Awards (Chinese: 红星大奖) are awards for artistic and technical merit in the media organisation Mediacorp of Singapore where Mediacorp recognises entertainers under their employment for outstanding performances of the year. The awards are given annually in a ceremony. The various category winners are awarded a trophy, with initial designs featuring various star shapes. The star was subsequently removed and the trophy is designed as a S shaped column, depicting the star. Zen Chong
Zen Chong (; born on 15 August 1978) is a Malaysian actor who is based in Singapore and contracted artiste under MediaCorp. Career Chong joined MediaCorp in 2001 after finishing third in that year's Malaysian edition of Star Search Singapore. Gam Ngan Gei (born 17 June 1946), better known as Jin Yinji, is a Singaporean actress of South Korean descent.
