Gaurav Solanki (writer)
Gaurav Solanki (born 7 July, 1986) is an Indian fiction writer, poet, screenwriter and lyricist. He has written songs for Ugly, Daas Dev and Veere Di Wedding. In 2012, he was awarded Jnanpeeth's Navlekhan Puraskar which he refused to accept. He has written much acclaimed film Article 15. Early life and education Gaurav Solanki was born in Meerut ( U.P.) and grew up in Sangaria (Rajasthan). He graduated from IIT Roorkee. Career His first break in films was Anurag Kashyap's '' Ugly'' (2014) for which he wrote lyrics. Kashyap also bought the rights to his story "Hisar mein Hahakar". Solanki wrote songs for ''Daas Dev'' (2018) and ''Veere Di Wedding'' (2018). His screenplay ''Nisaar'' was selected for Drishyam Films Sundance Institute Screenwriters Lab, 2016. ''Rockstar'' is a 2011 Indian Hindi-language musical romantic drama film written and directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by former Eros International head Sunil Lulla and Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision chief Dhilin Mehta, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri with music composed by A. The Zee Cine Award (ZCA) is an Indian awards ceremony for the Hindi film industry. They were instituted in November 1997 to award "Excellence in cinema - the democratic way". They were first held in Mumbai until 2004, when the ZCA went international and had their ceremony in Dubai, and in following years in London, Mauritius, Malaysia, and London again in 2008. It was not held in 2009 and 2010; due to TV release of ''Dance India Dance'', but resumed in 2011, being held in Singapore in 2012 it was held at the CotaiArena in Macao. Maqbool
''Maqbool'' is a 2004 Indian crime drama film directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and starring Irrfan, Tabu, Pankaj Kapur, Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri, Piyush Mishra, Murali Sharma and Masumeh Makhija in an adaptation of the play ''Macbeth'' by Shakespeare. The plot of the film is based on that of ''Macbeth'' with regard to events and characterisation. The film did not perform remarkably at the box office, but won director Vishal Bhardwaj international acclaim. Apart from directing it, he had also composed the background score and songs for the film. Bhardwaj then moved on to adapting William Shakespeare's ''Othello'' in his 2006 film '' Omkara'' which won him commercial as well as critical success. Abbas Tyrewala (born 15 May 1974) is an Indian film screenwriter and director. Vishal Bhardwaj
Vishal Bhardwaj (born 4 August 1965) is an Indian film director, screenwriter, producer, music composer and playback singer. He is known for his work in Hindi cinema, and is the recipient of seven National Film Awards and a Filmfare Award. ''Lage Raho Munna Bhai'' (; ) is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language satirical comedy drama film written, edited and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, who co-wrote the screenplay with Abhijat Joshi and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Imtiaz Ali (born 16 June 1971) is an Indian film director, producer, actor and writer who works in Hindi cinema.
