Zakaria Bin Muhammad Amin
Zakaria bin Muhammad Amin (7 March 1913 – 1 January 2006) was an Indonesian ulama, politician, and writer. He is known as a prominent freedom fighter from Riau who played an active role through various fields. Zakaria was the founder of Al-Khairiyah Islamic Boarding School, the first formal school in Bengkalis. After Al-Khairiyah was closed during the Japanese occupation of the Dutch East Indies, he founded MDTA Mahbatul Ulum, a madrasa to continue the legacy of the school. Early life and education Zakaria was born on 7 March 1913 in Bangkinang, Kampar Regency, as the eldest child and son of the three children of Muhammad Amin and Taraima, who came from Kuok Village, located not far from Zakaria’s birthplace. Bangkinang
Bangkinang ( Jawi: ), is a town in Riau Province of Indonesia. It is the capital of Kampar Regency, in that province, and is from Pekanbaru, the Riau provincial capital. As the capital of the regency it is connected both to the provincial capital and to the area of West Sumatra. The majority of the population is Muslim. History Based on the decree of the Military Governor of Central Sumatra Number: 10/GM/STE/49 dated 9 November 1949, Kampar Regency was one area in Riau Province of which the capital was Pekanbaru. Japanese Occupation Of The Dutch East Indies
The Empire of Japan occupied the Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia) during World War II from March 1942 until after the end of the war in September 1945. In May 1940, Germany German invasion of the Netherlands, occupied the Netherlands, and martial law was declared in the Dutch East Indies. Following the failure of negotiations between the Dutch authorities and the Japanese, Japanese assets in the archipelago were frozen. The Dutch declared war on Japan following the 7 December 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. The Japanese invasion of the Dutch East Indies began on 10 January 1942, and the Imperial Japanese Army overran the entire colony in less than three months. The Dutch surrendered on 8 March. Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disease and the cause of 60–70% of cases of dementia. The most common early symptom is difficulty in remembering recent events. Abdullah Nur
Abdullah Nur (1910 – 4 January 1997), also known as Andak Dolah, was an Indonesian ulama, soldier, and politician. Early life Nur was born in 1910 in Bengkalis, Dutch East Indies, as the son of Haji Muhammad Nur and Mardiah. He started his education at Europeesche Lagere School and continued his study with Kiai Haji Syekh Maksum at a boarding school in Medan for seven years. After he returned from Medan, Nur began to do preaching activities from village to village in Bengkalis, Selat Panjang, Sungai Pakning, and Merbau. Personal life Nur was married to Sri Banun and has had three children. He later married Juriah and had eight more children with her.
