Yvonne Blake
Yvonne Ann Blake (17 April 1940 – 17 July 2018) was a British-Spanish costume designer. She won an Academy Award for Best Costume Design for the film ''Nicholas and Alexandra'' along with Antonio Castillo. She won four Goya Awards and was nominated for BAFTA Awards and the Emmy Awards as well. On 14 July 2016 she took the Presidency of the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain. On 9 June 2018 Mariano Barroso replaced her in the Presidency due to her health problems. Blake died in Madrid on 17 July 2018 at age 78 from complications from a stroke. The Most Excellent (Spanish language, Spanish: ''Excelentísimo Señor'' (male) or ''Excelentísima Señora'' (female), literally "Most Excellent Sir/Madam") is an honorific prefix that is traditionally applied to certain people in Spain and certain Spanish-speaking countries. Following Spanish tradition, it is an ''ex officio'' style (the holder has it as long as they remain in office, in the most important positions of state) and is used in written documents and very formal occasions. The prefix is similar (but not equal) to that of "Excellency, His/Her Excellency", but in the 19th century "The Most Excellent" began to replace the former. Mariano Barroso (born 26 December 1959) is a Spanish film director and screenwriter. He has directed more than 20 films since 1982. ''Rowing with the Wind'' a.k.a. ''Remando al viento'' (Spanish title) is a 1988 Spanish film written and directed by Gonzalo Suárez. The film won seven Goya Awards. It concerns the English writer Mary Shelley and her circle.
