After the completed dissolution of Yugoslavia in 2006, the Serbia national football team, Serbia national team did not qualify for the next four UEFA European Championships it played qualifiers for, before finally securing a spot at UEFA Euro 2024, Euro 2024. The 1988 UEFA European Football Championship final tournament was held in West Germany from 10 to 25 June 1988. It was the eighth UEFA European Championship, which is held every four years and supported by UEFA. The tournament crowned the Netherlands as European champions for the first time.
