XIX Legislature Of Italy
The Legislature XIX of Italian Republic () is the 19th and current Italian Parliament, which was elected at the 2022 general election on 25 September and convened on 12 October. As per the 2020 Italian constitutional referendum, the size of the Chamber of Deputies was reduced from 630 to 400, and the Senate's elective membership was reduced from 315 to 200 (for a total of 205 Senators, including appointed life members). The largest party in both chambers is Brothers of Italy, led by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Senate Of The Republic (Italy)
The Senate of the Republic (), or simply the Senate ( ), is the upper house of the bicameral Italian Parliament, the lower house being the Chamber of Deputies (Italy), Chamber of Deputies. The two houses together form a perfect bicameral system, meaning they perform identical functions, but do so separately. Pursuant to the Articles 57, 58, and 59 of the Constitution of Italy, Italian Constitution, the Senate has 200 elective members, of which 196 are elected from Italian constituencies, and 4 from Italian citizens living abroad. Furthermore, a small number (currently 5) serve as Senators for life in Italy, senators for life (''senatori a vita''), either appointed or ''ex officio''. Maria Rosaria "Mara" Carfagna (born 18 December 1975) is an politics of Italy, Italian politician and former showgirl and model. After obtaining a degree in law, Carfagna worked for several years on Italian television shows and as a model. She later entered politics and was elected to the Chamber of Deputies for Forza Italia party in 2006. From 2008 to 2011, she served as Minister for Equal Opportunity in Berlusconi IV Cabinet. Michela Vittoria Brambilla
Michela Vittoria Brambilla (born 26 October 1967) is an Italian politician, animal rights activist and businesswoman. On 12 May 2008 she was nominated undersecretary (Tourism) in the Berlusconi IV Cabinet; on 8 May 2009 she was appointed Minister of Culture and Tourism, a position held until 2011. In 2007 she set up The People of Freedom, the goal of which was to merge the right-wing allies of Berlusconi. She is a current leader of the Animalist Movement. Francesco Saverio Romano (born 24 December 1964) is an Italian politician and lawyer. He served as the minister of agricultures in 2011 and a member of the Chamber of Deputies (Italy), Chamber of Deputies between 2001 and 2018. Early life and education Romano was born in Palermo on 24 December 1964. He holds a law degree, which he received from the University of Palermo in 1988.
