Women's Archive Wales
Archif Menywod Cymru / Women's Archive Wales (AMC/WAW) is a charity which works to identify and preserve resources for the study of women in the history of Wales. Its aims are defined as: "To identify and rescue materials relating to the lives of women in Wales past, present and future, and encourage their deposit in appropriate public repositories" and "To promote understanding of women’s roles in Welsh history, and the inclusion of women in history taught in schools and higher education." AMC/WAW's collections are held in county archives, the National Library of Wales, the National Museum of Wales, and university and other libraries. AMC/WAW supports research and study into women's history in Wales, including both Welsh women and other women who have lived or worked in Wales or contributed to Welsh history. A woman is an adult female human. Prior to adulthood, a female human is referred to as a girl (a female child or adolescent). The National Library of Wales ( cy, Llyfrgell Genedlaethol Cymru), Aberystwyth, is the national legal deposit library of Wales and is one of the Welsh Government sponsored bodies. It is the biggest library in Wales, holding over 6.5 million books and periodicals, and the largest collections of archives, portraits, maps and photographic images in Wales. Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales

Ursula Masson
Ursula Masson (1945–2008), born Ursula O'Connor, was a Welsh academic and writer who worked closely with Jane Aaron and Honno Press/Gwasg Honno, the Welsh Women's Press, on the imprint Welsh Women's Classics – to bring back into print the works of forgotten Welsh women writers of the 19th and 20th centuries. Her areas of study included Welsh social history, the political history of Welsh women from 1800 to 1914, and the history of liberalism in Wales. Early life and education Ursula Masson was born into the Irish community of Merthyr Tydfil, whose history she researched for her master's degree at University of Keele. She attended Cyfarthfa Castle Grammar School and Cardiff University. Women's Liberation Movement
The women's liberation movement (WLM) was a political alignment of women and feminist intellectualism that emerged in the late 1960s and continued into the 1980s primarily in the industrialized nations of the Western world, which effected great change (political, intellectual, cultural) throughout the world. The WLM branch of radical feminism, based in contemporary philosophy, comprised women of racially- and culturally-diverse backgrounds who proposed that economic, psychological, and social freedom were necessary for women to progress from being second-class citizens in their societies. Towards achieving the equality of women, the WLM questioned the cultural and legal validity of patriarchy and the practical validity of the social and sexual hierarchies used to control and limit the legal and physical independence of women in society. Deirdre Beddoe
Deirdre Beddoe (born 1942) is a historian of women in modern Britain, with particular focus on Wales. She is Emeritus Professor of Women's History at the University of Glamorgan, Pontypridd. Life She was involved in the Women's Liberation Movement as a member of Cardiff Women's Action Group in the 1970s. Career Beddoe has written about the history of women in modern Britain and Wales.
