Windsor Locks Station
Windsor Locks station is an Amtrak and CT Rail train station in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, on the New Haven–Springfield Line. It is served by four Amtrak services - the shuttles, , , and - as well as CT Rail Hartford Line commuter rail trains. The current station has only a small platform and shelter. A new station with high-level platforms is planned to be built in downtown Windsor Locks, where the station was located until 1981. The former station building at that site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Windsor Locks Passenger Station. History The Hartford and New Haven Railroad opened through Windsor Locks in 1839. The New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad, its successor, built a new station in the town center in 1875. Windsor Castle is a royal residence at Windsor in the English county of Berkshire. Windsor, South Australia
Windsor is a locality in South Australia. It is on the northern Adelaide Plains adjacent to Port Wakefield Road, 34 km southeast of Port Wakefield. The township is largely bypassed by Port Wakefield Road. The township was a private subdivision by George Baker c.1876. By 1876 there was a store and by 1878 there was a school and Primitive Methodist Church, now Uniting Church. The Uniting Church held its last service in the building on 25 October 2020. In 1884 the Windsor Institute was built, and has served the community as a hall and library for over 130 years. The town had an oval with concrete cricket pitch opposite the school and tennis courts, on Windsor Road. The oval, established by 1883 and used by the Windsor Cricket Club, was also used until the 1960s by the school. The football club joined with Wild Horse Plains to for United in 1921. Windsor is a historic market town and unparished area in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in Berkshire, England. It is the site of Windsor Castle, one of the official residences of the British monarch. Windsor (/ˈwɪnzə/) is a constituency in Berkshire represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2005 by Adam Afriyie of the Conservative Party. It was re-created for the 1997 general election after it was abolished following the 1970 general election and replaced by the Windsor and Maidenhead constituency.
