New Masters
''New Masters'' is the second studio album by singer-songwriter Cat Stevens, released in December 1967 by Deram Records (a new subsidiary of Decca Records) as a follow up to the highly successful debut album, ''Matthew and Son''. Overview The label was disappointed by Cat Stevens' second album's poor sales, given that the previous album made the UK Top Ten and produced several hit singles. ''New Masters'' generated little interest, failing to chart in either the UK or the United States. The single "Kitty"/"Blackness of the Night" languished at number 47, becoming Stevens' first single to miss the top 40. This was a sudden and steep commercial decline from the considerable success that Stevens enjoyed with his earlier recordings. "The First Cut Is the Deepest" has been covered successfully by several artists. Prior to the release of ''New Masters'', Stevens had sold the song for £30 to P. P. Arnold (formerly of the Ike and Tina Turner Revue) which gave the former Ikette he ...

Days Of The New (2001 Album)
''Days of the New'' (also known as the ''Red'' album or ''Days of the New III'') is the self-titled third and final studio album by American alternative rock band Days of the New. It was released in 2001 and was originally scheduled for late 2000, but Interscope enlisted Ron Aniello to help the band re-record and remix several songs for the record. The songs "Hang On to This," "Die Born," and "Once Again" were also added during this process. Reinforcing the Days of the New album color theme, the CD case to ''Red'' is translucent red. This is their only album with a "Parental Advisory" label. Overview In February 2000, Meeks returned to the studio with a new band. This album incorporated aspects of the previous two; much of the energy from the first album had returned, combined with orchestral interludes similar to the second album. ''Red'' also continues the upbeat vibe as emphasized on ''Green'' with more emphasis on electric guitar, namely in the opening track "Hang On to Th ...

Kavana (album)
''Kavana'' is the debut studio album by British singer-songwriter Kavana. Kavana was discovered by Take That's manager Nigel Martin-Smith, and was subsequently signed to his label in early 1996. The album was recorded throughout 1996 and the beginning of 1997, being released the week following the album's fourth single, "MFEO". Kavana worked with many big name stars on the album, including Lulu ("Protected", who also provides backing vocals for the track) and Howard Donald ("Crazy Chance"). The album was released on 11 April 1997 to good critical reception, however only reached #29 on the UK Albums Chart. Subsequently, second pressing copies of the album have a "Reduced Price" logo printed on the booklet and were retailed shortly before the release of "Crazy Chance '97". However, again these failed to increase the album's chart position. Both "I Can Make You Feel Good" and "MFEO" became UK Top 10 hits, both peaking at #8 respectively. Singles * " Crazy Chance" was released as th ...

The disc was released on a standard CD as well as a DualDisc, with the reverse side containing a documentary on the making of the album. The first single was "Where Are You", released in Canada during June 2005 and released in the United States a month later. The second and third singles were "Angels/Losing/Sleep" and "Will the Future Blame Us", respectively. According to the album's liner notes, ''Healthy'' was recorded in 1165 days at ten different studios. 2000 hours were spent both discussing and playing music and 43 songs were written and recorded. Over 6000 GB of hard drive space was used for the recording. The band's inability to choose which songs (and which versions of songs) they were satisfied with caused ...
