Wet'n'Wild is a brand used for many water parks across the world owned by Village Roadshow Theme Parks and EPR Properties. It is not to be confused with the Wet 'n Wild brand originally owned by SeaWorld creator George Millay or Wet N' Wild Waterworld, a stand-alone water park in Anthony, Texas. History The Wet'n'Wild brand originates from Wet'n'Wild Water World on the Gold Coast, Australia. It first opened in 1984 as Cade's County Waterpark, before being renamed to Wet'n'Wild in 1987 after a licensing agreement was reached with chain of Wet 'n Wild water parks overseas. In 2008, Village Roadshow Theme Parks, the owners of Wet'n'Wild Water World, began to explore opportunities to expand the brand. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Phoenix is a water park located in Phoenix, Arizona. The park is situated on approximately of land, making it the largest theme park in the state. It is located in North Phoenix at Adobe Dam Regional Park. History WaterWorld Safari originally opened on the site of Wet'n'Wild Phoenix. After Village Roadshow Limited invested over $30 million in the park on ownership, and new attractions, Wet'n'Wild Phoenix opened its doors to the public July 1, 2009. Wet'n'Wild Toronto (formerly known as Sunshine Beach and later Wild Water Kingdom) is a water park in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, a city in the Greater Toronto Area. Wet'n'Wild Palm Springs is a defunct water park located in Palm Springs, California. The park operated under Cedar Fair's ownership as Knott's Soak City until 2013 when CNL Lifestyle Properties acquired it. The park plans to reopen in 2022 after a complete renovation of the property. History Wet'n'Wild Palm Springs officially opened as Oasis Water Park by Waterpark Associates in 1986. By 2001, Oasis Water Park spanned of a property, featured 20 attractions and had a seasonal attendance of 200,000 people. In May 2001, Cedar Fair entered into an agreement to acquire the park. Wet'n'Wild Las Vegas was a water park in Spring Valley, Nevada. The park was part of Village Roadshow Theme Parks' Wet'n'Wild chain of water parks located across the world.
