"Welcome to My Hood" is the first single from American record producer DJ Khaled featuring fellow American rappers Rick Ross, Plies, Lil Wayne, and T-Pain from the former's fifth studio album ''We the Best Forever''. The album also contains the remix of the song featuring Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, Mavado, Twista, Birdman, Ace Hood, Fat Joe, The Game, Jadakiss, Bun B, and Waka Flocka Flame. The song is Khaled's first single to be produced by The Renegades & DJ Nasty, Cubic Z & LVM. It was released for digital download in the United States on January 18, 2011. Featured artist T-Pain has referred to the song as successor to Khaled's 2007 song "I'm So Hood", which featured a similar hook, and verses from Ross, Plies, and Trick Daddy. Khaled Mohammed Khaled (born November 26, 1975), known professionally as DJ Khaled, is an American DJ, record executive, record producer and rapper. Khaled first gained recognition as a radio host in the 1990s on the radio station 99 Jamz, and translated his popularity by working with hip hop collective Terror Squad as a DJ for their live performances. After gaining production credits on the group's material, Khaled released his debut studio album '' Listennn... the Album'' in 2006, which earned gold certification. "6 Foot 7 Foot" (also styled as "6'7") is a song by rapper Lil Wayne featuring label mate Cory Gunz. It is taken from Wayne's ninth album, ''Tha Carter IV'' (2011). It was officially released on iTunes on December 16, 2010. It was produced by "A Milli" producer Bangladesh. The song samples "Day-O (The Banana Boat Song)" by Harry Belafonte (particularly, as the title implies, the lyric "6 foot, 7 foot, 8 foot bunch".) Background "6 Foot 7 Foot" is the first single off ''Tha Carter IV''. The track is the first single Lil Wayne recorded following his release from prison on November 4, 2010, though it is the second song on which he has appeared since his prison release, after the final version of Birdman's single "Fire Flame", on which he had 2 verses. Bernard James Freeman (born March 19, 1973), known professionally as Bun B, is an American rapper. He is best known as one half of the southern rap duo UGK (UnderGround Kingz), a group he formed in 1987 alongside Pimp C.
