Waterloo High School is a high school in Waterloo, Alabama in Lauderdale County, Alabama. The high school is a public school in the Lauderdale County School System under the Alabama State Board of Education. The high school has grades Kindergarten - Twelfth grade in one building. It has about 250-350 students in a school year. The current building was constructed in 1986. Sports The school has six sports: Baseball, softball, cross country, volleyball, basketball, and football. They compete in the Alabama High School Athletic Association division 1A. The mascot is the Cougar. Previous mascots include the Stripes (for Striped Bass) and the Bulldog The Bulldog is a British breed of dog of mastiff type. The school's cost is roughly $38 million. The school is built on of land and holds 1,400 students. The school has a total of 57 classrooms. Waterloo High School has an auditorium that can hold 462 people. The school also has a fitness center and weight room used for PE students and athletes, four computer labs, a library, a cafeteria that can seat 600 students, band room, chorus room, and an engineering lab. The school has an interior courtyard area for agricultural classes. Sports The school has a gym that holds a total of 2,000 people. Waterloo East High School
Waterloo East High School in Waterloo, Iowa, United States is a public high school consisting of approximately 1000 students in grades 9–12. It is a part of the Waterloo Community School District. History The school was founded at its current site in 1874, with the present building being built in 1918. In 1939, the Music and Industrial Arts wing was added, and the Fred J. Miller gymnasium was built in 1957. The "new wing" which includes a swimming pool and classrooms was built in 1962. In 1981 East High transformed from a three-year to a four year high school. In April 2002, a new administrative and counseling center and an addition that features a new cafeteria/commons, practice gymnasium, wrestling room and locker rooms were opened.
