Wake Forest Demon Deacons Men's Soccer
The Wake Forest University Demon Deacons men's soccer team is an NCAA Division I college soccer team composed of students attending Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. They achieved their greatest result in 2007, winning the 2007 Division I Men's College Cup. Like all sports teams from Wake Forest, men's soccer competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The Deacons play their home matches at Spry Stadium on the campus of Wake Forest. Bobby Muuss
Bobby Muuss is an American college soccer coach, currently serving as head coach of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons men's soccer team. Career He played college soccer at Southern Connecticut State. He was an assistant coach at the University of Connecticut, helping UConn win the 2000 NCAA Championship. After being an assistant coach at Wake Forest from 2001 to 2006, Muuss was hired to be the head coach at Denver in January 2007. Marcus Garin Tracy (born October 2, 1986 in Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania) is an American soccer player who plays as a striker. Career College and Amateur Although born in Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia, Tracy grew up in Newtown, CT, playing soccer at Newtown High School where he was named an All-American (and had his #3 jersey retired) and was a member of the 2004 Class LL Connecticut State Championship team. Corben Bone
Corben Bone (born September 16, 1988 in Plano, Texas) is an American former professional soccer player. Career College and amateur Bone played college soccer at Wake Forest University from 2007 to 2009 where he appeared in 68 games scoring 15 goals and adding 38 assists. He was a member of Wake Forest's 2007 NCAA College Cup Championship team. He was named ACC Offensive Player of the year in 2009. During his college years Bone also played for both Cary RailHawks U23s and Carolina Dynamo in the USL Premier Development League. Luis Alejandro Argudo (born December 13, 1995) is an American soccer player who plays as a midfielder. He previously appeared at the semi-professional level for Carolina Dynamo, played professionally with Columbus Crew SC, Inter Miami, Norrby IF, and Pittsburgh Riverhounds, and spent time on loan with Hartford Athletic. Anibal “Steve” Armas (born March 2, 1977) is a retired American soccer midfielder who is a currently Associate Head Coach for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons men's soccer program. Armas previously spent one season in Major League Soccer and several seasons in the United Soccer Leagues. He was a member of the United States U-17 men's national soccer team at the 1993 FIFA U-17 World Championship. Omar Hernandez Chavarria (born May 4, 2001) is an American college soccer player who currently plays for Wake Forest University.
