Weever
Weevers (or weeverfish) are nine extant species of ray-finned fishes of the family Trachinidae in the order Perciformes, part of the wider clade Percomorpha. They are long (up to 37 cm), mainly brown in color, and have venomous spines on their first dorsal fin and gills. During the day, weevers bury themselves in sand, just showing their eyes, and snatch prey as it comes past, which consists of shrimp and small fish. Weevers are unusual in not having swim bladders, as have most bony fish, and as a result sink as soon as they stop actively swimming. With the exception of '' T. cornutus'' from the southeast Pacific, all species in this family are restricted to the eastern Atlantic (including the Mediterranean). An extinct relative, '' Callipteryx'', is known from the Monte Bolca lagerstätte of the Lutetian epoch. Weevers are sometimes used as an ingredient in the recipe for ''bouillabaisse''. John Weever
John Weever (1576–1632) was an English antiquary and poet. He is best known for his ''Epigrammes in the Oldest Cut, and Newest Fashion'' (1599), containing epigrams on Shakespeare, Ben Jonson, and other poets of his day, and for his ''Ancient Funerall Monuments'', the first full-length book to be dedicated to the topic of English church monuments and epitaphs, which was published in 1631, the year before his death. Life Weever was a native of Preston, Lancashire. Little is known of his early life, and his parentage is not certain. He may be the son of the John Weever who in 1590 was one of thirteen followers of local landowner Thomas Langton put on trial for murder after a riot which took place at Lea Hall, Lancashire. He was educated at Queens' College, Cambridge, where he was admitted as a sizar on 30 April 1594. Nicole De Weever
Nicole de Weever (born 1979) is a dancer and choreographer from Sint Maarten. After completing her primary schooling in the Caribbean, she moved to the United States, completing education. She has performed in film, on television and appeared on Broadway in the musical '' Fela!'' during its initial run in 2009 and reprise in 2012, after a world tour. She was honored as a cultural ambassador by the government of Sint Maarten in 2009. Early life Nicole Chantal de Weever was born in 1979 in Cay Hill, Sint Maarten, Netherlands Antilles, to Beatrice (née Vlaun) and Wilfred de Weever.
