Giovanni Pietro Volpi (15 May 1585 – 12 September 1636) was a Roman Catholic prelate who served as Bishop of Novara (1629–1636), Titular Bishop of ''Salona'' (1622–1629), and Auxiliary Bishop of Novara (1622–1629). Sergio Volpi (; born 2 February 1974) is an Italian former footballer who played as a midfielder. Volpi was capped twice for the Italy senior side at international level, and spent over ten seasons in Serie A throughout his career. Club career Volpi started his career at Brescia. Michelangelo "Mike" Volpi (born 13 December 1966) is an Italian-American businessman and venture capitalist. He worked as an engineer, eventually becoming chief strategy officer at Cisco Systems during the company’s growth era, acquiring over 70 companies in less than five years. Marisa Volpi (19 August 1928 – 13 May 2015) was an Italian art historian and writer. Biography Marisa Volpi was born in Macerata in 1928 to Dante and Matilde Andreani. Volpi grew up in Rome where she attended Giulio Cesare high school. She graduated with a thesis in Philosophy from the University of Rome La Sapienza in 1952 and then further specialized in art history in Florence in 1956 with the art historian Roberto Longhi. Volpi then taught in the universities of Cagliari and Rome. Volpi worked in 17th and 18th century modern art and contemporary art and wrote papers on Impressionism, the symbolism, the expressionism. Grazia Volpi (29 March 1941 – 7 February 2020) was an Italian film producer. She was one of the first women in Italy who achieved the position of film producer. Biography She started working in the late 1960s as general organizer and production manager on the set of the Taviani brothers' films. Then she became coordinator of "Una Cooperativa Cinematografica", a production company created by the Taviani brothers in 1973. Giuseppe Volpi, 1st Count of Misrata (19 November 1877 – 16 November 1947) was an Italian businessman and politician. Count Volpi developed utilities which brought electricity to Venice, northeast Italy, and the Balkans by 1903. In 1911–1912, he acted as a negotiator in ending the Italo-Turkish War. He was the governor of the colony of History of Libya as Italian Colony, Tripolitania from 1921 until 1925.
