Volkswagen Bora (China)
The Volkswagen Bora for the Chinese market is a compact car manufactured and marketed by FAW-Volkswagen since 2001. Originally started as the fourth generation Volkswagen Jetta in North America and the Volkswagen Bora in other parts of the world, it went through a few heavy facelifts, and production carried on with new updates long after the international Volkswagen Bora was out of production. __TOC__ First generation (1J; 2001) The original Volkswagen Bora started out as a rebadged MK4 Jetta. The Bora in China received a facelift in the summer of 2006, with a Passat Mk5.5 lookalike face which is a rebadged City Jetta. The model available in Mexico, Canada, Brazil and Argentina from 2008 was likewise facelifted with the same design found in China. SEAT Toledo
The SEAT Toledo is a small family car produced by the Spanish manufacturer SEAT, part of Volkswagen Group. The Toledo name was first introduced to the SEAT line up in May 1991 being named after a Spanish city with the same name, with the fourth generation being introduced at the end of 2012, for the model year of 2013. The Volkswagen Lavida () is a compact car manufactured by the German automobile manufacturer Volkswagen. Originally launched at Auto China 2008 in Beijing, the Lavida is considered the first mass-produced Volkswagen small family car to be mainly designed by its Chinese partner. In 2010, the car was the number one seller in China, with 251,615 vehicles delivered. Volkswagen 01M Transmission
The Volkswagen 01M transmission is an electronic/ hydraulic four-speed automatic transmission deployed in Cabrio, Jetta, Golf, GTI, New Beetle manufactured between 1995 through 2005, and transverse engine Passats manufactured between 1995 through 1997. This transmission was entirely engineered and most probably manufactured by the French company STA (owned by Renault) in Ruitz (Pas-de-Calais, France). Design The 01M and its predecessor 096 are very similar to the other transmissions engineered and manufactured by STA: AR4, AD4 and AD8, which were deployed on Renault vehicles in the 1980s and 1990s. It is an electronically controlled transmission with a lockup torque converter, using planetary gears, clutch packs, and a gear-driven final drive with an open-differential.
