The County of Victoria is one of the 49 cadastral counties of South Australia. It was proclaimed by Governor Richard MacDonnell in 1857 and probably named for Queen Victoria. Victoria Island ( ikt, Kitlineq, italic=yes) is a large island in the Arctic Archipelago that straddles the boundary between Nunavut and the Northwest Territories of Canada. It is the eighth-largest island in the world, and at in area, it is Canada's second-largest island. It is nearly double the size of Newfoundland (), and is slightly larger than the island of Great Britain () but smaller than Honshu (). Victoria is a rural municipality in Prince Edward Island, Canada. A historic seaport, the community is situated at the extreme southwestern edge of Queens County in the township of Lot 29. Victoria Ward was one of the original municipal wards in the city of Ottawa, Province of Canada created in 1855 from part of West Ward in Bytown. Victoria Ward originally consisted of the now uninhabited LeBreton Flats neighbourhood of Ottawa and Parliament Hill. When the city expanded westward, it began to include all of the city north of Wellington Street, encompassing Mechanicsville and parts of Hintonburg. Port Essington
Port Essington is an inlet and historic site located on the Cobourg Peninsula in the Garig Gunak Barlu National Park in Australia's Northern Territory. It was the site of an early attempt at British settlement, but now exists only as a remote series of ruins.
