Victor Doerksen (born November 25, 1953) is a politician, accountant and former cabinet minister in Alberta, Canada. Early life Doerksen was born in Bassano, Alberta on November 25, 1953. He was employed by the Bank of Montreal for 12 years. He left his job to run for political office a day after hearing about John Oldring retiring as MLA for Red Deer South. Red Deer was a provincial electoral district in Alberta, Canada, mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1905 to 1986.
