Universal Order Of Armageddon
Universal Order of Armageddon was an American hardcore band, active from 1992 to 1994 and reformed in 2010. History The band formed in September 1992. By early 1993, after quickly gaining a small but devoted following, they recorded and toured the East Coast. They became known for their extreme short chaotic performances, which sometimes resulted in complete destruction. Larry Livermore (founder of Lookout! Records) was so impressed by their live performance that he stated in a magazine column that punk bands should take note of U.O.A. and bring back this type of energy into punk rock. Drummer Brooks Headley once said, "Our live shows are like turning on a vacuum cleaner for like ten minutes". They went on to release records on indie labels such as Kill Rock Stars, Gravity, and Jade Tree. Lookout Records (stylized as Lookout! Records) was an independent record label, initially based in Laytonville, California and later in Berkeley, California, Berkeley, focusing on punk rock. Established in 1987, the label is best known for having released Operation Ivy (band), Operation Ivy’s only album, Energy (Operation Ivy album), ''Energy'', and Green Day's first two albums, ''39/Smooth'' and Kerplunk (album), ''Kerplunk''. Following the departure of co-founder Larry Livermore in 1997, the label departed from its "East Bay sound" and proved unable to match early success. It is the third film of a trilogy by Spheeris depicting life in Los Angeles at various points in time. The Wrangler Brutes were an American hardcore punk band formed in 2003 in Los Angeles, California. History Wrangler Brutes were formed around vocalist Sam McPheeters (ex-Born Against, Men's Recovery Project), drummer Brooks Headley (ex-Born Against, Universal Order of Armageddon, (Young) Pioneers), guitarist Andy Coronado (of Skull Kontrol, Monorchid, Nazti Skinz, Glass Candy) and bassist Cundo Bermudez (of Nazti Skinz and Fast Forward). The band sold over 1,000 copies of their self-released, self-titled cassette in nine months. This release was followed by a 7" record and a full-length LP, ''Zulu'', recorded in May 2004 with Steve Albini.
