Universal's House Of Horrors
Universal's House of Horrors was an attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood. It was the fifth variation of a walk-through maze housed in the "Stage 13" building. (Previous themes featured include Chicken Run, GrinchMas, The Mummy and Van Helsing: Fortress Dracula). The "Stage 13" building was previously home to different restaurants before being transformed into an attraction. The attraction opened in March 2007. This attraction featured real-live performers dressed up as characters from Universal's horror films including The Mummy, The Wolfman, Norman Bates from Psycho, Frankenstein, Nosferatu, Chucky and other characters. The performers inside the maze jumped out and scared guests as they walked through the various "sets" from the films. The performers did not touch the guests, and the guests did not touch the performers. The attraction took about 8 minutes to walk through. Universal Studios Hollywood is a film studio and theme park in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles County, California. About 70% of the studio lies within the unincorporated county island known as Universal City while the rest lies within the city limits of Los Angeles, California. Universal Classic Monsters (also known as Universal Monsters and Universal Studios Monsters) is a media franchise based on a series of horror films primarily produced by Universal Pictures from the 1930s to the 1950s. ''The Mummy'' is a 1932 American pre-Code supernatural horror film directed by Karl Freund. The screenplay by John L. Balderston was adapted from a treatise written by Nina Wilcox Putnam and Richard Schayer. Released by Universal Studios as a part of the Universal Classic Monsters franchise, the film stars Boris Karloff, Zita Johann, David Manners, Edward Van Sloan and Arthur Byron. Charles Lee "Chucky" Ray is the main antagonist of the '' Child's Play'' slasher film franchise. Chucky is portrayed as a vicious serial killer who, as he bleeds out from a gunshot wound, transfers his soul into a "Good Guy" doll and continuously tries to transfer it to a human body. The Blues Brothers Show is a live show attraction located at Universal Studios Florida and formerly at Universal Studios Hollywood, based on the 1980 film ''The Blues Brothers''.
