Lorenzo Cherubini (; born 27 September 1966), known professionally as Jovanotti (), is an Italian singer-songwriter, rapper, and disc jockey. The name Jovanotti derives from ''giovanotti'', the plural form of the Italian word ''giovanotto'' ("young man"). Cherubini initially chose "Joe Vanotti" as his stage name, but a promotional poster for a night club incorrectly billed him as "Jovanotti" and the name stuck. The spelling ''Jovanotti'' is anglicized; the letter J is rarely used in Italian. Jovanotti is commonly known to his fans by the diminutive form "Jova", and often refers to himself that way in promotional items and on his Web TV channel Jova.TV, which launched 2 October 2014. Claudio Cecchetto (; born 19 April 1952) is an Italian record producer, DJ, musician, and Artists and repertoire, talent scout. Life and career Cecchetto was born in Ceggia, a small town in the metropolitan city of Venice. After drumming with a few local bands, he started working as a deejay and became a regular host at Radio 105, Radio 105 Network, one of the first private radio stations in Italy to broadcast on national level. In 1982 he left Radio 105 and founded his own station, Radio DeeJay. In 1984 the Radio expanded to TV with the introduction of the show "Deejay Television" on Italia 1. Under Cecchetto's helm, the radio contributed to launch the career of many presenters, including Gerry Scotti, Albertino, Linus (deejay), DJ Linus, Rosario Fiorello, Fiorello, Marco Mazzoli, Fabio Volo, Daniele Bossari, Marco Baldini and Luca Laurenti.
