''Two Gals and a Guy'', also known as ''Baby and Me'', is a 1951 comedy film directed by Alfred E. Green and starring Janis Paige, Robert Alda, James Gleason, Lionel Stander, Arnold Stang, The Three Suns, and Patty McCormack, in her film debut. The film was an independent production of the Weisner Brothers for Eagle-Lion Films and released by United Artists. Plot A singing couple (Alda and Paige) co-host a weekly television show in New York City, but a strain jeopardizes their personal and professional relationships. Della Oliver wants to adopt a child. Deke does not. Seymour, their sponsor, is threatening to rip up their new five-year contract if they don't immediately sign it. When adoption agency officials turn up, Deke goes behind Della's back and puts on an act, making them see him as an unfit parent. Della discovers what he did and moves out. ''Two Guys and a Girl'' (titled ''Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place'' for the first two seasons) is an American television sitcom created by Rick Wiener, Kenny Schwartz and Danny Jacobson. The series started as a short-run (13 episodes) mid-season replacement on March 10, 1998, on ABC. The series ran for four seasons, ending with a planned series finale, its eighty-first episode, on May 16, 2001. The series starred Ryan Reynolds, Richard Ruccolo, and Traylor Howard as the title characters. The second season saw the arrival of two additional recurring characters, Johnny Donnelly (Nathan Fillion) and Ashley Walker ( Suzanne Cryer). In 2000, for the fourth season, ABC bounced the sitcom from midweek to a Friday night death slot, leading to a steep drop in ratings. Eagle-Lion Films was a British-American film production company owned by J. Arthur Rank intended to distribute British productions in the United States. In 1947, it acquired Robert R. Young's PRC Pictures, a small American production company, to produce low-budget features to accompany its British releases. The studio, which was located at 7324 Santa Monica Boulevard (one block away from the Samuel Goldwyn Studios), became a producer of B-movies. Eagle-Lion was also a film distribution company under the name of Eagle-Lion Distributors Limited in the United Kingdom and Eagle-Lion Films Inc. in the United States.
