Come Into My Life (Joyce Sims Album)
''Come into My Life'' is the debut album by American singer-songwriter Joyce Sims, released in 1987. It was the first Sleeping Bag Records album to be released on compact disc in the United States, and it was licensed to London/PolyGram Records throughout Europe. The album's title track became Sims' biggest hit single, reaching number 10 on the US ''Billboard'' R&B Chart and number 7 in the UK Singles Chart. The album contains the full version of the title track, the hard version of "Lifetime Love", and "(You Are My) All and All". However, for unknown reasons, the soft version of "Lifetime Love", despite getting as much radio airplay as the hard version, was not included—but the UK remix of "All and All" was. Sims wrote all of the songs on the album except for "Love Makes a Woman", a cover of a Barbara Acklin song. Single releases *"All and All" (peaked at 69 on the US ''Billboard'' R&B chart and number 16 on the UK Singles Chart) *" Come into My Life" (US R&B number 10/UK nu ...

The Stooges
The Stooges, originally billed as the Psychedelic Stooges, also known as Iggy and the Stooges, was an American rock band formed in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1967 by singer Iggy Pop, guitarist Ron Asheton, drummer Scott Asheton, and bassist Dave Alexander. Initially playing a raw, primitive style of rock and roll, the band sold few records in their original incarnation and gained a reputation for their confrontational performances, which often involved acts of self-mutilation by Iggy Pop. After releasing two albums – '' The Stooges'' (1969) and '' Fun House'' (1970) – the group disbanded briefly, and reformed with an altered lineup (with Ron Asheton replacing Dave Alexander on bass and James Williamson taking up guitar) to release a third album, '' Raw Power'' (1973), before breaking up again in 1974. The band reunited in 2003 with Ron Asheton moving back to guitar and Mike Watt on bass, and the addition of saxophonist Steve Mackay, who had played briefly with the 1973†...

Search And Destroy (The Stooges Song)
"Search and Destroy" is a song by American rock band the Stooges, recorded for the group's third album '' Raw Power'' (1973). Lead singer Iggy Pop said that the title was derived from a column heading in a ''Time'' article about the Vietnam War. In 1997, "Search and Destroy" (along with the rest of the songs on ''Raw Power'') was remixed and remastered by Pop and Bruce Dickinson. The result was far more aggressive and stripped down than the original release, which had been mixed by David Bowie. In 2004, ''Rolling Stone'' ranked "Search and Destroy" at No. 468 on their list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time". In 2009, it was named the 49th best hard rock song of all time by VH1. The song has also been characterized as garage rock, glam rock and proto-punk. Influence In a song review for AllMusic, Bill Janovitz commented on the song's influence: Janovitz also notes that the song has become a popular live punk performance piece for bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sid ...

Pick Up The Pieces (Average White Band Song)
"Pick Up the Pieces" is a 1974 song by the Average White Band from their second album, '' AWB''. On the single, songwriting credit was given to founding member and saxophonist Roger Ball and guitarist Hamish Stuart individually and the entire band collectively. It is essentially an instrumental, apart from the song's title being shouted at several points in the song. Background The guitar line of the song came from Hamish Stuart, while Roger Ball wrote the first part of the horn melody. The song was produced by Arif Mardin. According to Malcolm 'Molly' Duncan, he had disagreed with releasing the song as a single because the song is a "funk instrumental played by Scotsmen with no lyrics other than a shout". He also said about the shouts of "Pick up the pieces": "It's about picking yourself up when things aren't going well. We'd spent a lot of time making no money whatsoever, so it felt very relevant." The song is an extended long version on the live ''Person To Person'' album (197 ...
