''Transmission'' (also known for sponsorship reasons as ''Transmission with T-Mobile'') is a British television programme broadcast on Channel 4, offering live performances and interviews of famous music artists, that ran for three series between 2006 and 2007. It was usually shown late at night on a Friday as part of the ''4music'' strand on Channel 4. The programme was sponsored by mobile phone network T-Mobile. The first series aired in 2006 and came back for a second series in early 2007, then returned for a third series at the end of 2007. Steve Jones (Welsh Presenter)
Stephen Ashton Jones (born 16 March 1977) is a Welsh television presenter from Tylorstown, Wales, who currently leads the presenting team on Channel 4 F1. He presented Channel 4's teen schedule T4 from 2003 to 2010. In the United States, he hosted the first series of ''The X Factor USA''. Lauren Laverne
Lauren Cecilia Fisher (née Gofton; born 28 April 1978), known professionally as Lauren Laverne, is an English radio DJ, model, television presenter, author and singer. She was the lead singer and additional guitarist in the alternative rock band Kenickie. The group's album '' At The Club'' reached the top 10, although her greatest chart success came when she performed vocals on Mint Royale's single "Don't Falter". 4Music is a British music television channel owned and operated by Channel Four Television Corporation. The original incarnation was launched on 15 August 2008, and until 29 June 2022, showed a mix of music and entertainment programming. It was a replacement of The Hits television channel. The original version of 4Music was replaced by E4 Extra, a new sister channel and extension of E4, on 29 June 2022. At the same time, 4Music was relaunched into a full-time music TV channel and replaced Box Hits, which ceased broadcasting since. History 4Music began its broadcast in 2008 with an on-screen countdown which lasted for ten minutes. T4 (Channel 4)
''T4'' was a scheduling slot on Channel 4 (''T4 Saturday'' usually 9 am until 2 pm) and E4 (''T4 Sunday'' usually 9 am until 5 pm). It also aired on weekdays in the school holidays. The slot had a separate station identification on screen graphic from Channel 4 and E4. Channel 4 originally produced the strand in-house until 2002, when production was passed onto independent companies. The slot was targeted at the 16-24 age group. Until 25 March 2012, ''T4'' aired on Channel 4 both Saturday and Sunday. To make way for the introduction of '' Sunday Brunch'' in March 2012, ''T4 Sunday'' was later moved to run on E4.
