Toronto Maple Leafs (semi-pro Baseball)
The Toronto Maple Leafs are a team of the Intercounty Baseball League, based in Toronto, Ontario. They play their home games on "Dominico Field" at Christie Pits. They are also known colloquially as the Intercounty Maple Leafs or the Intercounty Leafs to disambiguate themselves from the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team. Home games usually take place on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons, and are free for the public to attend. The games are popular with people in the neighbourhood, who enjoy the warm weather, picturesque setting, and of course the baseball game itself. Hotdogs are sold behind the outfield fence and Alan "Al" Ross sells raffle tickets to raise money to support the team. Major League Baseball (MLB) is a professional baseball organization and the oldest major professional sports league in the world. Marcus Knecht
Marcus Allen Knecht (born June 21, 1990) is a Canadian professional baseball outfielder who is currently a free agent. Prior to beginning his professional career, he played college baseball at Oklahoma State University and Connors State College. Knecht has also competed for the Canadian national baseball team. Career Knecht attended St. Michael's College School in Toronto and played youth baseball with the North York Baseball Association in Toronto. He represented the Province of Ontario in the Canadian Championships. Robert Frank John Butler (born April 10, 1970) is a Canadian former professional baseball outfielder, who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Toronto Blue Jays and the Philadelphia Phillies. Richard Dwight Butler (born May 1, 1973) is a Canadian former outfielder in Major League Baseball for the Toronto Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
