The Toronto Argonauts (officially the Toronto Argonaut Football Club and colloquially known as the Argos) are a professional Canadian football team competing in the East Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL), based in Toronto, Ontario. Noah Cantor
Noah Cantor (born January 11, 1971) is a former football player in the Canadian Football League. Biography Cantor is Jewish. Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Cantor played with the University of Saint Mary's Huskies from 1990 to 1994. He was signed as a free agent by the Toronto Argonauts on February 28, 2003. He re-signed with Toronto February 24, 2004. In 2006 he announced his retirement from the CFL on April 13, but returned from retirement and signed a contract with Toronto on August 10. Dick Shatto
Richard Darrell Shatto (February 5, 1933 – February 4, 2003) was a professional Canadian football player for the Canadian Football League Toronto Argonauts. Shatto also served as the Argonauts general manager after his playing days with the club ended. Shatto's playing career with the Argos lasted twelve seasons, from 1954 to 1965. His #22 jersey is one of only four that has been retired by the club. Shatto was one of the most productive players in the CFL and for a team that made the playoffs only three times during his career: 1955, 1960, and 1961. During Shatto's playing tenure with the club, the Argos finished last in their conference eight times. Dick Shatto was inducted into the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in 1997. Zenon Andrusyshyn
Zenon Andrusyshyn (born February 25, 1947) is a German-Canadian former Canadian Football League punter (football position), punter and Placekicker, kicker from –, –, primarily for the Toronto Argonauts. He also was a member of the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League and the Tampa Bay Bandits in the United States Football League. He played college football at UCLA. Early years Andrusyshyn was born in Germany to Ukrainian parents. His family moved to Ontario, Canada where he attended Oakville Trafalgar High School. He set a high school javelin record that lasted for 35 years. Andrusyshyn participated with the Canadian team in the javelin throw, shot put and discus during the 1966 British Empire and Commonwealth Games. Dan Ferrone
Dan Ferrone (born April 3, 1958) is a former professional Canadian football player. He played with the Toronto Argonauts for 8 seasons, interrupted by one season with the Calgary Stampeders, in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was an offensive lineman with the teams from 1981 to 1992, part of the Argonaut's Grey Cup championships in 1983 and 1991. During Ferrone's time in the CFL, he was named to the CFL's All-Star team 5 times, the East Division All-Star team 8 times and one time West Division All-Star. In 1992, his first year after retiring from the CFL, Ferrone was elected as the seventh president of the Canadian Football League Players' Association (CFLPA). Michael Clemons
Michael Lutrell "Pinball" Clemons (born January 15, 1965) is an American-Canadian sports executive and former running back and return specialist who serves as general manager for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is one of the greatest and most famous Argos players of all time, as well as one of the most popular professional athletes in the history of Toronto. A native of Dunedin, Florida, Clemons played college football at the College of William & Mary and was drafted in the eighth round of the 1987 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. After two years in the NFL, Clemons joined the Argonauts in 1989, playing with them for twelve seasons where he was a two-time All-Star and a three-time Grey Cup Champion. Jeff Johnson (Canadian Football)
Jeff Johnson (born February 28, 1977) is a former professional Canadian football running back who played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Early years In high-school, Johnson played at the Etobicoke Collegiate Institute, one of Toronto's oldest high-schools, located in Etobicoke. He first played football in Grade 12 when he was asked to try out for the football team. Danny Nykoluk
Danny Nykoluk (June 16, 1933 – July 29, 2016) was a professional football player with the Canadian Football League's Toronto Argonauts. Nykoluk primarily played the offensive tackle position with the Argos. Nykoluk played in 204 games with the Argonauts in a career that lasted 16 seasons. His #60 jersey is one of only four that has been retired by the club. In 1996, Nykoluk was inducted as an All-Time Argonaut with a banner named in his honour raised at Rogers Centre. Noel Prefontaine
Noel Michael Prefontaine (born December 23, 1973) is a former professional Canadian football punter and placekicker in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Early years Prefontaine was born to a French Canadian father and a Vietnamese mother at the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in California. His father was born and raised in Verdun, Quebec and Noel lived with his grandmother in Verdun as a child, which enables him to be considered a non-import for CFL purposes. He returned to the United States and attended El Camino High School in San Diego County, California. Don Moen (born April 29, 1960) is a former linebacker who played thirteen seasons in the Canadian Football League for the Toronto Argonauts.
