''Tony'' is a 2013 philosophical thriller Kannada film directed by Jayatheertha. The film stars Srinagar Kitty and Aindrita Ray in lead roles. Indrakumar GV is producing this film jointly with Srinagar Kitty which is backed with Sadhu Kokila's music and Gnanamurthy's cinematography. Shot extensively around the scenic locales of Bangkok and other places, the film speaks about a person who wants to make quick money and has three dimensional stories interwoven and ends up at a common point. One of the sub plot of the movie was based on the 1886 short story ''How Much Land Does a Man Need?'' by Leo Tolstoy. Jayathirtha B. V. (born May 8th, 1977) is an Indian theater activist, production designer and filmmaker. He is known for his movies Olave Mandara, Tony, Beautiful Manasugalu, and Bell Bottom. He is also known for his work as a director and play writer. Early life Jayathirtha was born and brought up in Bangalore, Karnataka. A high school dropout due to financial constraints, he started working as a salesman at 17 and took up theater as a pastime. He trained at Abhinayataranga under the renowned theatre personality A. S. Murthy and later became a teacher in the same institution. Jayathirtha won several awards for his works in theatre including the ''B. V. Yogaraj Bhat (born 8 October 1972) is an Indian Kannada film-maker, director, screenwriter, lyricist and producer. He is most known for the 2006 film ''Mungaru Male''. The film recorded the highest box-office collections in the history of Kannada cinema at the time of its release and the longest running film at a multiplex. Hemanth Subramanya known by his stage name as Hemanth, is a playback singer in Kannada cinema. Early life Hemanth was born in a family of musicians at Bangalore, India. His mother Rathna Sastry is a classical singer and his father Subramanya Sastry is a retired economics professor. He considers his mother as his first Guru. Raghupati Dwarakanath Dixit (born 11 November 1974) is an Indian singer-composer, producer, and film score composer who is the frontman for the Raghu Dixit Project, a multilingual folk music band.
