Henny Skjønberg
Henny Kristin Skjønberg (6 August 1886 – 5 January 1973) was a Norwegian actress and stage director. Biography Hennika Bucher Eide was born in Stavanger, Norway. She was the daughter of Henrik Eide (1831–1907) and Ingeborg Sofie Bucher (1846–1929). She attended upper secondary school at Kongsgård in Stavanger, after which she traveled to London. She made her debut at the newly established Stavanger Faste Scene (later Rogaland Teater) in 1914. She was mainly employed at the Norwegian Theater in Oslo, where with humour and irony she specialized as a character comedian. She also acted in movies from 1920 to 1967. Skjønberg's most famous role came as the cranky old aunt Tante Pose in the 1940 movie of the same name. For years it has been a staple of Christmas entertainment, shown on Norwegian television every December. Alfred Solaas (April 15, 1912 – November 23, 1968) was a Norwegian actor, film director, and theater director. He was engaged for many years at the Oslo New Theater. Career Solaas debuted in 1934 at the Carl Johan Theater. After that, he was engaged with the Central Theater from 1935 to 1939 and with the Oslo New Theater from 1940 to 1960, followed by freelance work. At the Central Theater his appearances included roles in ''The Threepenny Opera'' (Norwegian title: ''Tolvskillingsoperaen'') in 1938 and in Finn Bo's revue ''Takk for sist'' (Nice to See You Again), and he received praise for his role as Arv in Ludvig Holberg's ''Jean de France''. He made his debut as a director in 1946 and staged Shakespeare plays such as ''Hamlet'', '' A Midsummer Night's Dream'', and '' As You Like It''. Synnøve Gleditsch (née Synnøve Tanvik, June 16, 1908 – December 7, 1980) was a Norwegian actress. Life and work Synnøve Gleditsch was the daughter of the arsenal manager Nils Tanvik (1872–1969) and Kristine Eian (1875–1925). She debuted at the National Theater in 1928, where she was engaged until 1932. After this, Gleditsch was engaged at the Søilen Theater from 1934 to 1935, the Trøndelag Theater from 1937 to 1942, and the Edderkoppen Theater from 1949 to 1953; during this time she also had guest performances at many other theaters. Finn Hugo Bernhoft (February 6, 1898 – April 27, 1981) was a Norwegian theater and film actor. Bernhoft was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. He debuted in 1917 in Edvard Drabløs's touring theater, and he started working with the Trondheim National Theater that same year. He later played at Chat Noir, the Carl Johan Theater, and the Central Theater, and from 1948 to 1958 he was engaged with the Trøndelag Theater. Per Gjersøe (13 October 1908 – 6 November 1980) was a Norwegian actor, stage instructor and film director. He was born in Tønsberg. He made his stage debut at Nationaltheatret in 1938. From 1945 to 1950 he was assigned at Studioteatret, and later at Det nye Teater, Riksteatret, Fjernsynsteatret, Teatret Vårt in Molde, and at Den Nationale Scene in Bergen.
