Thiruvalla, alternately spelled Tiruvalla, is a town in Kerala and the Headquarters of the Taluk of the same name located in Pathanamthitta district in the State of Kerala, India. The town is spread over an area of . It lies on the banks of the Pambas and Manimala rivers, and is a land-locked region surrounded by irrigating streams and rivers.It is the largest town in the district and central Travancore. Thiruvalla is regarded as the "Land of Non resident Indians". It is the financial,educational,cultural and commercial capital of central travancore. KSRTC Terminal Complex Thiruvalla
KSRTC Bus Terminal Complex Thiruvalla is a transport hub in Thiruvalla town in the Indian state of Kerala, owned and operated by Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) under the depot code TVLA. It is located near the SCS Junction and is accessible via NH 183. It is one of the four BOT projects of KSRTC under KTDFC (Others are in Thampanoor, Kozhikode and Angamaly). Long distance intrastate, inter-state and city buses run regularly from the bus terminal. History In 2006, the then Transport Minister and incumbent MLA of Thiruvalla, Mathew T. Thomas started a few bus terminal projects across the state. Work on the Thiruvalla terminal took off in August 2010. Pathanamthitta District
Pathanamthitta District (), is one of the 14 districts in the Indian state of Kerala. The district headquarters is in the town of Pathanamthitta. There are four municipalities in Pathanamthitta: Adoor, Pandalam, Pathanamthitta and Thiruvalla. According to the 2011 Census of India, the population was 1,197,412, making it the third least populous district in Kerala (out of 14), after Wayanad and Idukki. Kavumbhagom
Kavumbhagom or Kavumbhagam is a place in Thiruvalla, Pathanamthitta, Kerala, India. Kavumbhagom is an important junction and part of the Thiruvalla Municipality. It is also a census village. Kavumbhagom serves as a major road route connecting Changanasserry, Thiruvalla, Chathankerry and Mavelikkara. Thiruvalla Sree Vallabha temple is very near to Kavumbhagom (). Manimala River
Manimala River or Manimalayar is a 92km long river which flows through South and Central Kerala. The river used to be wrongly considered as a tributary of Pamba River before satellite maps became popular, but this was proved incorrect. Manimala does not flow into the Pamba, instead a distributary of the Pamba river flows into the Manimala river at Kallunkal, later branches out again from Manimala at Nedumpuram and flows through Niranam, Thalavady, Edathua, Changankary, Champakulam, Nedumudy, Chennamkary, and finally Kainakary and then empties into the Vembanad lake. Nedumpuram Palace

The palace belongs to a branch of the Kulasekhara dynasty that ruled the principality of Udayamangalam in Northern Kerala. The family belongs originally to the Valluvanad royal line of ascension who presided over the Mamamkam festival. During the southern campaign of Tippu Sultan, the family relocated to the south of Kerala and took shelter under the patronage of the King of Travancore.
