Robert William Troup Jr. (October 18, 1918 – February 7, 1999) was an American actor, jazz pianist, singer, and songwriter. He wrote the song " Route 66" and acted in the role of Dr. Joe Early with his wife Julie London in the television program '' Emergency!'' in the 1970s. Early life Robert William Troup Jr. was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. His father Robert William Troup worked for the family business J. H. ''Little Deuce Coupe'' is the fourth album by the American rock band the Beach Boys, released October 7, 1963 on Capitol Records. It reached number 4 in the US during a chart stay of 46 weeks, and was eventually certified platinum by the RIAA. It is considered to be one of the earliest examples of a rock concept album. The album was released three weeks after '' Surfer Girl''. Four of the tracks from ''Little Deuce Coupe'' ("409", " Shut Down", " Little Deuce Coupe", and "Our Car Club") had already appeared on previous albums, and discounting an alternate recording of "Be True to Your School", no tracks from the album were issued as an A-sided single. It was the group's first foray into soul music and was heavily influenced by the R&B of artists such as Stevie Wonder. When released in the US on November 15, 1976, the album was renamed ''Beach Boys '69 (The Beach Boys In London)'' via Capitol Records.
