The War Doctor (audio Drama Series)
''The War Doctor'', announced in October 2015, is a Big Finish Productions audio play series based on the TV show ''Doctor Who''. It sees the return of Sir John Hurt as the War Doctor, a role he previously portrayed in the TV story "The Name of the Doctor" as well as more prominently in the 50th Anniversary special "The Day of the Doctor ''The'' () is a grammatical article in English, denoting persons or things already mentioned, under discussion, implied or otherwise presumed familiar to listeners, readers, or speakers. It is the definite article in English. ''The'' is the ...". The series consists of four box sets, each made up of three hour-long episodes, the first released in December 2015, the remaining three volumes followed across 2016 and into 2017. Big Finish Productions announced October 2020 that the War Doctor would return portrayed by actor Jonathon Carley, stepping in for the late John Hurt. David Llewellyn (author)
David Llewellyn (born 1978), is a Welsh novelist and script writer. He grew up in Pontypool and graduated from Dartington College of Arts in 2000. Nicholas Briggs
Nicholas Briggs (born 29 September 1961) is an English actor, writer, director, sound designer and composer. He is associated with the BBC science fiction television series '' Doctor Who'' and its spin-offs, particularly as the voice of the Daleks and the Cybermen in the 21st century series. Ken Bones (born 11 June 1947) is an English actor. He is a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
