The Sims Expansion Packs
Seven expansion packs were released for the 2000 life simulation game, life simulation video game ''The Sims (video game), The Sims'', the first major title in ''The Sims'' series. All expansion packs were developed by Maxis for Microsoft Windows and macOS, Mac OS X. Windows versions were published by Electronic Arts, and Mac OS X versions were published by Aspyr Media, Aspyr. Expansion packs tend to focus on major new features, with many objects, clothes, styles, worlds and life states are geared towards the pack's major theme. Maxis
Maxis is an American video game developer and a division of Electronic Arts (EA). The studio was founded in 1987 by Will Wright and Jeff Braun, and acquired by EA in 1997. Maxis is best known for its simulation games, including '' The Sims'', ''Spore'' and '' SimCity''. In the late 2010s, Maxis suffered from a series of studio closures and layoffs. This included the shutdown of Maxis Emeryville in 2015, EA Salt Lake in 2017, and a wave of layoffs at Redwood Shores in 2018. With the remainder of Maxis reorganised under EA Mobile, and EA opening new studios under the label from 2019, some commentators have suggested that only the brand name from the original studio survives. Port Washington is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) on the Cow Neck Peninsula in the Town of North Hempstead, in Nassau County, on the North Shore of Long Island, in New York. A non-player character (NPC), or non-playable character, is any character in a game that is not controlled by a player.
