''The Randy Rhoads Years'' is a compilation album by American heavy metal band Quiet Riot that features songs from Randy Rhoads' time with the band in the late 1970s. It features previously unreleased material and some remixed songs from Quiet Riot's first two albums which were released only in Japan. Quiet Riot is an American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band founded in Los Angeles in 1973 by guitarist Randy Rhoads and bassist Kelly Garni. The original lineup featured Rhoads and Garni with lead vocalist Kevin DuBrow and drummer Drew Forsyth, though that version of the band was mired in turmoil that would eventually see Garni fired for making death threats towards DuBrow. Their most commercially successful lineup consisted of DuBrow alongside guitarist Carlos Cavazo, bassist Rudy Sarzo and drummer Frankie Banali, and in 1983 released their breakthrough album ''Metal Health'', which is known for being the first heavy metal album to top the ''Billboard'' album chart. Marshall is a British company that designs and manufactures music amplifiers, speaker cabinets, brands personal headphones and earphones, drums and bongos. Kelly Garni
Kelly Garni is an American hard rock musician and photographer, best known as a founding member of the band Quiet Riot. He appears on the band's 1978 self-titled debut album, as well as their second album, ''Quiet Riot II'' the same year. Biography Born in Los Angeles in 29 October 1952, Garni's family moved to Burbank, California in the early 1970s, where he met Randy Rhoads. He played bass with Quiet Riot for about five years until he was fired for a drunk episode where he plotted to kill lead singer Kevin DuBrow. Ronnie Lane
Ronald Frederick Lane (1 April 1946 – 4 June 1997) was an English musician and songwriter who is best known as the bass guitarist and founding member of Small Faces (1965–69) and subsequently Faces (1969–73). Lane formed Small Faces in 1965 after meeting Steve Marriott, with whom he subsquently wrote many of their hit singles including " All or Nothing", "Itchycoo Park" and " Lazy Sunday". After Marriott left Small Faces in 1968, bandmembers Lane, Ian McLagan and Kenny Jones were joined by Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood to form Faces. Like Small Faces, the band achieved critical and commercial success. Lane quit the Faces in 1973 and subsequently collaborated with other musicians, leading his own bands and pursuing a solo career. In 1977, he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He was supported by charity projects and financial contributions from friends, former bandmates and fans. Steve Marriott
Stephen Peter Marriott (30 January 1947 – 20 April 1991) was an English guitarist, singer and songwriter. He co-founded and played in the rock bands Small Faces and Humble Pie, in a career spanning over two decades. Marriott was inducted posthumously into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 as a member of Small Faces. In Britain, Marriott became a popular, often-photographed mod style icon. Marriott was influenced by musicians such as: Miles Davis, Buddy Holly, Booker T & the MG's, Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Muddy Waters and Bobby Bland. In his later life Marriott became distant with the music industry and turned away from major record labels, remaining in relative obscurity. "Crazy Train" is the debut solo single by English heavy metal vocalist Ozzy Osbourne and was released in 1980 from his debut album as a solo artist, ''Blizzard of Ozz'' (1980). A live version of the song recorded in 1981 from the album ''Tribute'' was also released as a single in 1987 with an accompanying music video. Laughing Gas (instrumental)
"Laughing Gas" was a song performed by Quiet Riot at all the live performances while Randy Rhoads played with the band. It was never recorded onto an album until a live bootleg performance was enhanced (with rerecorded vocals) and placed on ''The Randy Rhoads Years''. The improvised solo was just over 6 minutes long and contained clips from future songs of Ozzy Osbourne including, " Goodbye to Romance", " Mr. Crowley", " Dee", and " Crazy Train". The solo outlined Randy's talent and productivity level at such a young age. This solo also contained a reference to William Tell Overture and this certainly got the crowd roaring. The triangle is a musical instrument in the percussion family, and is classified as an idiophone in the Hornbostel-Sachs classification system. Triangles are made from a variety of metals including aluminum, beryllium copper, brass, bronze, iron, and steel. The metal is formed into a triangle shape by bending or casting methods.
