The Lamb (1918 Film)
''The Lamb'' is a 1918 American short comedy film starring Harold Lloyd. It is believed to be lost. Like many American films of the time, ''The Lamb'' was subject to cuts by city and state film censorship boards. The Chicago Board of Censors required cuts of the first, fourth, and sixth tough dancing scenes and of the men wiggling their backs in comedy duel scenes. Harold Lloyd
Harold Clayton Lloyd, Sr. (April 20, 1893 – March 8, 1971) was an American actor, comedian, and stunt performer who appeared in many silent comedy films.Obituary '' Variety'', March 10, 1971, page 55. One of the most influential film comedians of the silent film era, Lloyd made nearly 200 comedy films, both silent and " talkies", between 1914 and 1947. His bespectacled "Glass" character was a resourceful, ambitious go-getter who matched the zeitgeist of the 1920s-era United States. His films frequently contained "thrill sequences" of extended chase scenes and daredevil physical feats. Lloyd hanging from the hands of a clock high above the street (dangerous, but risk exaggerated by camera angles) in ''Safety Last!'' (1923) is considered one of the most enduring images in cinema. Dorothea Wolbert
Dorothea Wolbert (April 12, 1874 – September 15, 1958) was an American film actress. She appeared in more than 140 films between 1916 and 1957. She appeared on the television series '' I Love Lucy'' (with her character named Dorothea Wolbert) in episode #137, "Ricky's European Booking" (1956). She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and died in Hollywood, California.
