The Gallery (album)
''The Gallery'' is the second full-length studio album by the Swedish melodic death metal band Dark Tranquillity, released on 27 November 1995. It was the first full-length release to feature Mikael Stanne on vocals, as he was previously the rhythm guitarist. In 2004, ''The Gallery'' was re-released with a slightly different cover art and five cover songs as bonus tracks. Songs The song "Punish My Heaven" was preceded by the track "Yesterworld" from the ''A Moonclad Reflection'' demo and later on the '' Yesterworlds'' compilation album. On the band's live album, ''Where Death Is Most Alive'', vocalist Mikael Stanne has stated that the song "Edenspring" is about drinking. Dark Tranquillity
Dark Tranquillity is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Gothenburg. They are considered one of the pioneering acts of the Gothenburg metal scene, which also includes bands such as In Flames and At the Gates. Dark Tranquillity is regarded as the Gothenburg fathers in the film entitled ''Out of Nothing: A DT Documentary'' released by Century Media, which was filmed in their home town in April 2009. Background Early years and ''Skydancer'' (1989–1993) Dark Tranquillity was formed in 1989 by current vocalist and then-guitarist Mikael Stanne, and guitarist Niklas Sundin, under the name Septic Broiler. Haven (Dark Tranquillity Album)
''Haven'' is the fifth studio album by Swedish melodic death metal band Dark Tranquillity, released on 25 July 2000. This release is the first to feature Mikael Niklasson and Martin Brändström, and the first release with Martin Henriksson on guitar, switching from his previous position on bass. Style ''Haven'' retains the electronic music elements of past albums, along with appealing song composition and more polished production. As with the previous album, ''Projector'', Mikael Stanne uses clean and harsh vocals. James Hetfield
James Alan Hetfield (born August 3, 1963) is an American musician. He is the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, co-founder and a main songwriter of heavy metal band Metallica. In popular music, a cover version, cover song, remake, revival, or simply cover, is a new performance or recording by a musician other than the original performer or composer of the song. Originally, it referred to a version of a song released around the same time as the original in order to compete with it. Now, it refers to any subsequent version performed after the original. Metallica
Metallica is an American heavy metal band. The Jester Race
''The Jester Race'' is the second studio album by Swedish heavy metal band In Flames, released in February 1996. It is the first album to feature Anders Fridén as the band's vocalist, Björn Gelotte as the drummer, and Jester Head as the band's mascot. The album was the band's second full-length album released following the more mainstream success of their 1995 EP, '' Subterranean''. ''The Jester Race'' was recorded at Studio Fredman by Fredrik Nordström, who also contributed keyboards for the album. The song "Dead Eternity" was originally on the Subterranean (EP) and the song "Dead God in Me" was originally on the Subterranean (EP) but with a different title, "The Inborn Lifeless". In Flames is a Swedish heavy metal band, formed by guitarist Jesper Strömblad in Gothenburg in 1990. Alongside At the Gates and Dark Tranquillity, In Flames pioneered the genres known as Swedish death metal and melodic death metal. During the band's early years, In Flames had a varying group of musicians recording with them, including many session musicians. By the release of ''Colony'' (1999), the group had established a stable lineup. Their sixth studio album ''Reroute to Remain'' (2002) showed the band moving toward a newer style of music that moved further away from melodic death metal and closer to alternative metal. At the Gates is a Swedish death metal band from Gothenburg, formed in 1990. The band was a major progenitor of Gothenburg-style melodic death metal alongside In Flames and Dark Tranquillity. ''Construct'' is the tenth studio album by Swedish melodic death metal band Dark Tranquillity. It was released on 27 May 2013 through Century Media Records. A music video for "Uniformity", directed by Patric Ullaeus, was released on 10 May 2013. The album was written during what the band described as their "darkest period" and drew critical praise for its melodrama and darkness. Construct would be the band's last studio album with founding member guitarist Martin Henriksson as he left the band in early 2016 due to loss of passion for playing music.
