Tom London (born Leonard T. Clapman; August 24, 1889 – December 5, 1963) was an American actor who played frequently in B-Westerns. According to ''The Guinness Book of Movie Records'', London is credited with appearing in the most films in the history of Hollywood, according to the 2001 book ''Film Facts'', which says that the performer who played in the most films was "Tom London, who made his first of over 2,000 appearances in '' The Great Train Robbery, 1903''. He used his birth name in films until 1924. Life and career Born in Louisville, Kentucky, London got his start in movies as a props man in Chicago, Illinois. His debut was in 1915 in the Western ''Lone Larry'', performing under his own name. Earl Dwire (October 3, 1883 – January 16, 1940), born Earl Dean Dwire, was an American character actor who appeared in more than 150 movies between 1921 and his death in 1940. Dwire acted for three years in stock theater with companies in Portland and Seattle. In December 1912, he joined the American Theater company in Spokane, Washington, and shortly after was named the company's manager when the previous manager resigned. In 1921, he acted with, and was the director of, the Wright Players. Noted for his almost frightening long face, Dwire worked mainly as a villain in westerns, including ''Riders of Destiny'' (1933) with John Wayne in the first singing cowboy movie and ''The Trail Beyond'' (1934) opposite Wayne, Noah Beery, Sr., and Noah Beery, Jr. He enjoys a particularly large showcase opposite John Wayne and Gabby Hayes in '' The Lawless Frontier'' (1934). Theodore "Ted" Lorch (September 29, 1873 – November 12, 1947) was an American film actor. He appeared in more than 140 films between 1908 and 1947. Biography Born in Springfield, Illinois, in 1873, Lorch appeared in several Three Stooges comedies. He was the suspicious Major "Bloodhound" Filbert in ''Uncivil Warriors'', the snooty psychologist Professor Sedlitz in '' Half-Wits Holiday'', and General Muster in '' Goofs and Saddles''. He also performed tiny bit roles, such as the butler in ''If a Body Meets a Body'' and ''Micro-Phonies''. Lorch died on November 12, 1947. His final Stooge film, '' The Hot Scots'', was released posthumously in 1948. He was interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, California.
