''The Adventures of Paddington Bear'' is an animated children's television series. It is based on the book ''Paddington Bear'' by Michael Bond and was written by Bruce Robb. It was produced by CINAR Corporation and Protecrea, in co-production with Canal J (Seasons 1-2) and with the participation of Teletoon, TF1, and ITV (Seasons 1–2). The show was first aired in 1997 with final episode's airing in 2000. Plot The show follows the adventures of a bear from Peru that comes to England after an earthquake that destroys his home. TheGrio, styled as thegrio, is an American television network and website with news, opinion, entertainment and video content geared toward Black Americans. The website originally launched in June 2009 as a division of NBC News, it became a division of MSNBC in 2013. It was founded by the team who created the documentary film '' Meeting David Wilson''. Cookie Jar Toons (also known as This Is for Kids) was a daily children's programming block on the This TV digital broadcast network when that network was partially owned by the former Weigel Broadcasting (7 years later, the network was acquired by Allen Media Group). The block was programmed by Canada-based DHX Media (formerly Cookie Jar Entertainment and today as WildBrain). The block used the name ''Cookie Jar Toons'' for E/I programs, and the name ''This Is for Kids'' for non-E/I programs. Eve Karpf (born 2 August 1947) is a British actress. Among her roles was the voice of Weed for the 2001 ''Bill and Ben'' reboot. Paddington Bear is a fictional character in children's literature.
