The Tennessee Department of Children's Services (TDCS) is a state agency of Tennessee that operates services for children and youth. It is currently headquartered on the tenth floor of the UBS Tower in Nashville. The current commissioner is Margie Quin, who assumed office on September 1, 2022. Juvenile facilities The Division of Juvenile Justice operates three juvenile correctional facilities for male juveniles. In addition it contracts with G4S Youth Services, which operates the G4S Academy for Young Women, which has services for female juveniles. The G4S Academy is housed on the Clover Bottom Developmental Center campus in Donelson. Fayette County, Tennessee
Fayette County is a county located in the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of the 2020 census, the population was 41,990. Its county seat is Somerville. The county was named after the Marquis de la Fayette, French hero of the American Revolution. A part of the Memphis, TN-MS-AR Metropolitan Statistical Area, Fayette County is culturally alike to the Mississippi Delta and was a major area of cotton plantations dependent on slave labor in the nineteenth century. The points of the compass are a set of horizontal, radially arrayed compass directions (or azimuths) used in navigation and cartography. The Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) is a Cabinet-level agency within the Tennessee state government responsible for the oversight of more than 20,000 convicted offenders in Tennessee's fourteen prisons, three of which are privately managed by the Corrections Corporation of America. William Edward Haslam (; born August 23, 1958) is an American billionaire businessman and politician who served as the 49th governor of Tennessee from 2011 to 2019. A member of the Republican Party, Haslam previously served as the 67th mayor of Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born in Knoxville and graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Bledsoe County, Tennessee
Bledsoe County is a county located in the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of the 2020 census, the population was 14,913. Its county seat is Pikeville. History Bledsoe County was formed in 1807 from land that was formerly Indian Land as well as land carved from Roane County. The county was named for Anthony Bledsoe (1739–1788), a soldier in the Revolutionary War and was an early settler of Sumner County. He was killed in an Indian attack at Bledsoe's Station. Like many East Tennessee counties, Bledsoe County opposed secession on the eve of the Civil War. The Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth (TCCY) is a Tennessee state agency with a primary mission of advocacy for improving the quality of life for Tennessee children and families. The policy-making body of TCCY is a 21-member commission whose members are appointed by the governor. At least one member is appointed from each of Tennessee's nine development districts. Five youth advisory members meet the federally mandated composition required for a state advisory group.
